it gets you insta Palladium lounge and VIP phone numbers and stuff... so better customer support -- it doesnt actually do much

but what can they do more? their rewards system is already sick

just followed a conversation between 2 canadian fishes on party. one of them said he moved from stars to party yesterday and the other apparently has played on both sites but now withdrew form stars "just in case"

I heard that it is EV+.

I also heard that it has 50% of turning of the doomswitch, anyone who could confirm this?

You can't both simultaneously change it to each other's screenname. You would need to have the same sn at one point and that's impossible. So you can't just swap.

I think there has been a definite increase in players on Party tonight: the SNGs are still going strong at 12:30am (UK time) on a non-Sat/Fri night (usually the volume is well down by 11:30pm and by 12:30am it's usually way lower on these nights...) and looking at pokerscout, it appears at 12:30am the player count for cash games is still at it's 7-day average too!

EDIT: Oops... late with the news.

This is definitely good for Party. But they are going to have to fix their garbage rake on micro-sngs. Pokerstars and Full Tilt didn't have Sports Betting and Party does and it's a blast. Well, it's a blast for me anyway because I have tripled my tiny roll with Sports Betting over the last 5-6 days. Today was my worst day yet and I still made money. I just regret not putting $100 on Vancouver vs Chicago in game 1. I knew there was no way in heck that Vancouver would lose that game...

yes, 1.50 for VISA, and 10 for bank wires, in whatever your account currency is

it becomes free if you reach palladium status, i.e. $4.5k rake in a quarter (jan - mar, april - jun, etc.)

sucks big time for recreational players. correct me if i'm wrong tho' but other sites have hidden fees, e.g. FTP cashouts incur a MGR hit

You really need to play a decent volume otherwise the rake is too prohibitive. Next month, for example, the highest volume players will probably have something close to 100% rakeback.

echeck is taking 4ever to hit my partypoker account. They took the money out of my account on Monday and they told me that I'd finally get it tomorrow. A minor fail but whatever, it's something I can live with while I now grind my stars reload bonus.

yea 20bb tables are removed from 200nl-600nl

also disconnect protection has been removed completely or at least from those limits (not sure yet which)

There is still DC protection at limit O8.

Personally I'm happy with that given my spotty wireless connection. Tilt is okay too because they are generous with the time for you to get back on. I hate Stars if the wireless is acting up.

as long as there is a disconnect timebank i dont mind them removing DP. the 30s timebank is sometimes not enough for me to switch connections and for party to realize there is internet again

so i have collected like 7500 points this month and dont see the light at the end of the reward system tunnel.

what kind of RB can i expect at a pace of about 10k points per month ? How do i get said RB ? bonuses ? i just started to play on party this month.

13.3k points/month (40k per quarter) and you'd get palladium elite and be able to choose between bonuses equiv. to 35% - 50% rakeback, the higher ones taking longer to get and then clear

and each month you can work out what extra % you get from whatever promo is running
