About the Speeddown tournaments for Partyfest tonight.
Never played them before. Is it a complete crapshoot until 10m blindlevel kicks in?
Is it worth playing?

I've received an email from a couple of other sites I have an account with about upcoming changes for UK players. I've still not received anything from Party or read anything anywhere about what changes there will be. Considering it should come into effect next week could you give us some kind of an update soon?

It's because their legal department are as incompetent as their software development department. They wrongly (according to a very knowledgeable poster in the Pokerstars UK regulations thread) excluded UK players from the current Pokerfest leaderboards.

Just don't go away when support first tells you that you have to wait

First reply from Party to any email is always something vague to see if you'll just stop bothering them. If you reported a problem, they'll either suggest reinstalling the software or they'll say that the problem is in your computer or internet.

Something might start happening from 2nd email onwards.
Same for me here. I did write them that I am in the hurry and that I don't have time to wait 3 days to be approved and here is the answer:

'We are not able to assess your current situation precisely. Based on your information, we do not feel that it is in the best interests of our responsible gaming policy for you to continue using our line-up. We have therefore closed your account and recommend that you take a break from gaming.'

I am playing at bwin. WTF is this?

I found the cause of the graphic bug - it is an overlimit of GDI handles in Party client.
In the lobby there is a leak of GDI handles. GDI brush that is used to repaint the lobby, not destroyed.

By default, each process has a limit of 10,000 GDI handles. Once this limit is reached, a graphics bug begins, after which the client crash.
I found a temporary solution to the problem. Handles limit can be increased to a maximum of 65,536.

To do this, you must edit the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Cu rrentVersion\Windows\GDIProcessHandleQuota
and reboot PC.

Dear Party Programmers, please, read this:
Debugging a GDI Resource Leak
This worked for me. No crashes today at all!

Though lobby got really laggy at the end

Now that Amaya is running Stars into the ground, i think it's a good idea for Party to maybe focus on a software update to make the software more fluid if they aren't already.

Personally the fast forward game is unplayable because the replayer is really sucky. Look at stars and even 888 how you can whip up the replayer and type in a note about a player so easily.
The customisable betting needs to be improved preflop; number of BBs to raise.

Party had a good chance to get some customers when FTP went down. They were the only site that managed to lose customers during that time. All other sites gained them.

Let's see if they have learned from their mistake...

Hello,

On a technical note - a quick announcement for our Mac users –

As some of you might already know, our Mac software has some issues running on Yosemite and we wanted to let you know that we are actively working to resolve these issues. We have a number of graphical issues that could well diminish the experience of our players dependent on the games they play and/or features they use. While we are actively working to resolve these we cannot yet confirm when we expect to deploy a fix.

If you are experiencing an issue we would like to ask that you move across to our Java (Instant Play) version, which doesn’t have the same graphical issues on Yosemite, however, you will need to ensure you have Java 8u25 installed and this can be accessed from the location below.

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/ja...s-2133155.html

When accessing our Java software we want you to be aware of a few things:

- You cannot use Chrome 32 Bit because Java is not supported.
- If using Safari, you will be prompted to adjust some of your browser preferences. This requires you to ask your machine to run Java for pokerclient.partypoker.com in unsafe mode. When selecting this method, Safari will inform you that doing so will allow plug-ins running in unsafe mode access to your personal documentation and data. We are not doing anything untoward here. Since the release of version 6 of Safari we have been requesting players to change their preferences because doing so ensures our application can interact with your computer and complete basic tasks, e.g. the writing of hand histories or the saving of player notes.
- If using Firefox, when loading our software you will be prompted to allow pokerclient.partypoker.com to run the Java applet. You will then be prompted to “Allow” or “Allow and remember” the preference in order to run our software.

We will keep you updated on our progress for this specific issue.

In the meantime, please do continue to post any problems you might face so we can pass these on to our technical teams.

Many thanks,
Vas

It's far from unplayable but yeah, would be nice to have an easier way to make notes. Luckily the player pool isn't too big, you will generally get matched up against the same player in a few moments so you can make a note.

What is really tilting about Fast Forward is that you don't get to see your opponent's cards when you win a pot without looking at the Hand History. Even when you are allin preflop, you have to bring up the hand history to see what they had.

Welcome to Official Partypoker thread where the Party_rep randomly pops up to make a random statement without confronting his customers while the customers do the support's job and fix bugs the software team can't fix!

Any MTT players end up getting refunds this past Sunday? I've emailed Party 3 times and either they send me an auto-response email or don't reply at all.

I'm seriously beginning to think that Party_Rep's brief is to deliberately to wind up customers with his constant update of non-priority issues whilst seemingly ignoring what 99% of posters are complaining about.

Is 10/20 HU King of the hill now? Or just another bug?

Can't tell the difference anymore what's a feature what's a bug

I've not had a refund or even a reply. I only sent 1 email but included a few screenshots. I did notice some bonus available at one stage but that has since disappeared.

I found a point where there is a leak.
It is this blue rectangle with number of tickets:

(Probably the same leak there when drawing rectangles with the number of achievements/missions)

I found that if I do not log in to the client, not the number of GDI objects not increases at lobby refreshing. Also I have one friend who has no ticket, and it too has no increase of GDI objects after log in.

Seems client create a brush (by CreateSolidBrush) to draw the rectangle and there is no DeleteObject for it.

Party programmers, please check it.
