I would just use a debit card, but let your bank know ahead of time there is going to be a foreign transaction taking place. If you don't let them know, they might block the transaction because of fraud.

wth is wrong with that? Either you will get blocked and have to call to unblock your card....or you can just call in advance. They don't ask you what you're buying nor do they care :O

At least half the people I know who've deposited get blocked and it happens to me ~half the time depending on the payment processor

Most likely the check will be foreign (probably Canada) and a lot of ATM's don't accept foreign checks. I'd just deposit via drive up teller.

FWIW I deposited via mobile and it looks as though my bank (credit union) accepted it. The money posted to my acct although it isn't "available" yet. Didn't think mobile would accept the check (Canadian) but it did

I'm one of the guys whose account got closed cause I live in NV- got a check today after about a month. Had no way of checking when they sent it 'cause I cant access my account. Deposited today. Expecting 2 more for full balance- will update again accordingly
