Check being sent to collections has nothing to do with the poker site. It's the bank branch that decides what to do if they're not use to foreign checks.

FWIW I've deposited checks from Bovada with no problems. (foreign)

They told me when I was there that their machine wasn't recognizing the account #, but they thought they could get it to work by some other process after I left. Turns out they weren't able to.

When I went back in to sign for sending the check to collections, the guy apologized and told me it's not usually a problem for checks under $5,000.

I live in the heart of Phoenix too, so it's not some small town bank I'm talking about here.

Longtime lurker here. I've been messing around on Carbon for a year or so playing micro limit sit n gos. Yesterday I decided to play the $1 20K guarantee and took it down for almost $2900, which is prompting my first attempt at a withdrawal. I uploaded my ID and proof of residence and received confirmation within about 15 minutes. So I'm assuming all the back ups are related to lack of funds in the Merge coffers and not lack of manpower in the processing department.

For sure.. not too upset about it, but it's just kind of annoying overall to have to wait 4 months for a check to appear in my bank account.

Yep. They could also offer players an incremental payout option (eg. <= $1k) via WU for "larger" withdrawals.

Moreover, there is no legitimate reason why ROW payments should be slow; I find this most troubling.

if your bank sends it off to collections you can ask the teller if they can do a provisional credit for your account. the check will still be sent to collections but they are in essence floating you the money until collections clears it.

ive recently started doing this at my bank. however, ive been using the same teller for about a year and have somewhat of a rapport with him.

fwiw i use the same bank as the pittsburgh pirates play their home games in.

About to request my first cashout from Carbon. I am in the state of GA. I have read through a majority of the forum, but am wondering what the best method of cashout is. Should I set up a Skrill account or request a check? What will Carbon allow me to do?

Just submitted a withdrawal last night, heard a month or so ago nightmares about carbon not paying anymore. The last few checks I got from carbon were quite fast around 2-3 weeks, is carbon still having issues paying out?
