This entire site helps games get tougher - would you like us to close the whole thing down for you?

Welp Ive been logged out for 26 minutes now and finally my tables are startign to pop up. I got blinded out of 2 tournaments (one of them was with 9 players left) and lost half my chips in both teh 215 and the $60 20k GTD. This is horrible, I should 100% get all my buyins back (and then some) regardless of results.
that is what would be fair at least.

i can live with 10 opr minutes of this before they do something, but letting it drag on an hour without at least pausing the tourneys is bad for. idk.. retaining customers. Even though in the past the refunds have been fair and prompt.

Yes, Pausing tournaments in these cases is absolutely the best solution. Even for merge, this way they do not have to issue as many (if any) refunds. Also, in situations where the tourney has issues during late registration, merge would be more likely to hit the GTD if they paused the tournaments. Also customers will not feel cheated.

Its so stupidly obvious that only merge would not realize it

I agree with that. They HAVE been taking the proper approach to dealing with situations.

They just need to get that tourney pause button down

We can argue the merits of the softness I suppose, but if I was allowed to play on Stars, I'm pretty sure I would EXCLUSIVELY for these reasons:

- MUCH bigger player pool - I could play any time day or not and always find games and although I can usually play on Carbon, there are times when the games break up and I can't get enough tables plus I'm capped at $200NL full ring

- MUCH better rewards - I'm not sure what the value of SuperNova was when I was on Stars or what it is now but I'm pretty sure whatever it is blows the doors off ANY other site even if I didn't make a profit on the table (which I do).

- MUCH better software. Despite Carbon being the best software of US serving software, it's still only OK compared to Stars.

- MUCH better customer support.

I still like that there are other sites to play on though. I wish there were more quality sites that seemed like they cared about the totality of their player base.

What if during the OPS on the last Saturday, day before the MEs, Merge had PLO (and w/e other games, FLHE would be cool) MEs. $215 buy ins, 10k starting stack with a dece guarantee..

I think it would be a hit. Will prob fall on deaf ears but would be cool..

What is the best way you guys deposit on Carbon? Trying Visa Netspend and no luck so far. Might have to give up and take my lazy ass to the western union.....

I don't think they'd go for it. I managed to talk them into LHE events a while back, and there was some success, but at smaller buyin ranges. I doubt they'd risk jumping right out there with $215s unfortunately, though I'd love to see, and would probably play both!

Does CarbonPoker really not have a reward program for poker players anymore? How in the world do you expect to gain and keep the existing players? Is this for all of merge skins or just carbon? Other poker sites that are not on merge network have some sort of reward program. All you guys do is remove promos and reward. Rakeback removed, vip points removed, certain tournaments removed, certain SnGs removed, certain cash tables removed. Only thing that there is are deposit bonuses which is a ****ty in of itself; the ratio needed to unlock the bonus money is just terrible. Is this a sign of carbons inevitable closure? What happend to the good ol days of Carbon poker when they were the best skin on merge. Steadily down the drain. I would bet my entire bankroll this is due to GREEDY, SCHEMING, UNFAITHFUL owners. REWARD YOU LOYAL MEMBERS WHO PUT IN WORK AT THE TABLE AND FEED YOU RAKE.

No, it is not.

The lack of rewards hasn't hurt liquidity at all. The largest US friendly poker site, Bovada, has no rewards and it is the 5th largest network in the world. There are quite a few players out there who enjoy soft games (which is what naturally occurs when there is a dearth of rewards), and those players fill the spots of the players who leave due to a lack of rewards.

In short, it all works out in the end.
