Why are they destroying the micro mtt schedule? It looks worse today than it was yesterday. Lower guarantees, fewer entrants. Just a bunch of $25 and $50 guarantees from $1-3 buyins.

I just played one where the re entry period ended when you were able to buy in for 3 big blinds.

I basically only played the dollar frenzy, the micro buy in nl tourneys that got a few hundred people, and badugi or 2-7 tourneys, and now in there place for micros theres dozens of $1 and $2 tourneys that if they're lucky might get 100 people.

And I absolutely hate the change in the dollar frenzy. by far my favorite tourney, it beat the guarantee every time, and for some reason they changed it to make it smaller, makes no sense.

edit: I also don't understand the point of even having a guarantee if you're going to cancel so many of them. I'm not sure what the minimum registered players is, but I saw a $5.50 horse with $50 gtd which got 5 people and canceled. Maybe the minimum required is 1 full table, but if so then having a guarantee of 10 players if the tourney won't run unless it gets at least 8 anyway is kind of silly.

You're kind of playing with fire when you ask them to ban you from the casino. If they consider you a problem gambler they will entirely and permanently ban you from the network, including poker.

I've been playing on Merge for 2 years prior to Black Friday. Have seen all the turns, including the VIP program going from amazing to steadily nothing. All standard, I learned long ago that they don't give a **** about players. It is what it is.

I also play primarily on Players Only. This move is just an extension of their segregation of their players from Carbon. That attempt was to protect their sportsbook bettors from sharks at Carbon... this move is to try and 1. make poker less attractive to sports bettors, with fewer guaranteed tournaments, and 2. reduce total players in poker by pushing regs away and making games less attractive.

If you think none of that makes sense, think again. SB/PlayersOnly would shut down poker in a second if they didn't think it would cause sports bettor defection. They want as minimal presence in poker as possible, so by slashing guarantees and tournaments, they risk less money leaving their proprietary betting operation and going to profitable poker players. Rake and fees and volume mean nothing to them if it means their sports betting fish are going to donate dollars to the poker community... because in their eyes, $100 lost in poker is $100 that the sportsbook would have made from the player, over time.

Why does the schedule drop off after like 9pm? Just a bunch of tiny guarantee games and not even any good late night turbos. (I'm on poker host)

It gets worse as I read the fine print.

For example:

"Aced reserves the right to move players in and out of Reward tiers at our sole discretion and at any time."

"Aced reserves the right to terminate or amend the entire Rewards Program membership and benefits at its sole discretion and at any time."

"Players on Aced, Aced Plus, Aced Elite are currently limited to five (5) Reward Points for cash exchanges per calendar month."

So even in their crippled system, there is no peace of mind. I thought I was being a little harsh but it looks like I was barely scratching the surface.

How does this make Carbon a thief?

Ill comment later with my thoughts on the VIP Changes, obviously I am very disappointed in them. I have already heard of a few high rakers who are already pretty much on the verge of quitting merge forever if they already haven't.

Just gotta wait for the dust to settle now and see the state of the network in a few weeks. Hopefully merge decides to do something to rectify this situation.

Exactly. Usually those types of terms and conditions are included as legal cover for extreme situations. Carbon/Aced has just shown us they can and will employ those terms under normal operating conditions.

Poker Host doesn't participate in all of the tournaments. There is more games available on Aced/Carbon. I put money on Poker Host on the first day of the new schedule and then the next day they cut most the tournaments.

Decided to look at the bright side of this new schedule. Variance should be much lower.

So, Carbons affiliates still get 40% of players MGR less deductions. Deductions: Bonus, VIP program, payment processing fees (~5%) and all cash promotions. Oh wait, they pretty much gutted all the deductions. No wonder affiliates love these latest moves. I guess this is why affiliates try to convince us players this is still the best American facing site to play on. Really? I don't think so.

I wouldn't continue to support a site that still gives it's affiliates 40% of players MGR while continuously taking every decent promotion away month by month from the players.

Novel idea, gut the affiliate program and give the players that 40% of MGR. We are the ones paying the rake, not the affiliates.

Please ban affiliates from threads like this. I'm sick of hearing how helpful they are to players. They are blood sucking leaches IMO. They have their own forum. Keep them there and off the player forums.

Edit: Not to mention this site has the highest rake at cash tables of all American facing sites. They can pay the still existing meager rewards just from that rake increase. So basically they aren't giving us anything back, just the increased rake we pay. They must think we are morons.

Carbon affiliates are getting screwed too. Without rakeback, with higher rakes and with gutted promotions it's hard for affiliates to get new players. If an affiliate doesn't get a new player to sign on during any 60 day period, Carbon is simply taking their players and cutting all ties with the affiliate.

I mean if you're going to make claims like this at least offer some sort of proof. I can make some pretty damning accusations without proof too.

re entry is kind of funny, i dont mind it at all. However, I wondered what would happen if we were itm and reentry was still opened, happened last night. the mtt paid 4 and we are down to 4 and there are still dudes buying in. i mean they were buying in for like 2bb. anyway, worked out real well for one dude who happens to buy in when there is like a 3 way AI. i busted for 4th unfortunately, got paid. but the guy that bough in for one entry was guaranteed 3rd place money; with the timing of his buyin. he watched two ppl bust and he was 3 handed lol. he was guaranteed to cash for 3rd for like 4.5 total buyins. i thought it was hysterical
