I wouldn't bash the schedule just yet. At first look it seems like there are a ton of tournaments. That's because there is! You're in charge of your table count and what tournaments you play. I might personally have to start using the lobby filter so it doesn't look as jam packed. The new schedule brings more variety in tournament offerings(6-max) and starting stack/blind structure standardization. Play your old favorite tournaments and add in some new ones that you want to try out. It also looks like some new interesting satellites were added into the client for October as well so this should be fun.
I know the guarantees were slightly lowered on some tournaments that used to be bigger on some weekdays. They are admittedly being a little cautious at first but who can blame them. It's their money they are putting on the line and I don't expect them to give out free money in overlays for the first month after putting in hours of work and processing feedback to create this schedule. I'm under the impression that after this schedule launches, the guarantees will continually be looked at each week. They will process the data and guarantees will be increased for certain tournaments that do well like they were a few months back(before June I believe?).
Let's wait until we all play it a little bit and then give more criticism and try to improve it with feedback. You might be saying "NICK REALLY? If they wanted feedback they would of kept the subforum open!!!". Well you have a point but from what I've read, it's quite costly to have a subforum on 2+2. I wouldn't be surprised if they still keep tabs on what's being said in here even if for some reason they're not allowed to post in here. Plus, certain people might be able to forward suggestions to people in charge of the MTT schedule.
I'd like to encourage people to be open minded about the new schedule and support their favorite tournaments in October by playing them. If you want bigger prize pools, it doesn't seem like it's magically going to happen overnight from the start. You're going to have to show your support for your favorite tournaments.
(No, I'm not a Carbon affiliate of any sort and am not paid to speak highly of them. I'm just a MTT grinder currently living in the US and personally know Merge is the best network for MTT's right now in the US if you only had to choose from one.)
