I myself feel the same way, and am also grandfathered in on Merge. Plus, according to the Lock forum, this could be a temporary measure - just too large an influx right now. Its still the same player pool.
Its also WHY there might not be so much of a clarification coming. This is a TEENSY different than an entire network blockage in fear of DOJ (but I sure wish legalization in US would hurry, there is SO much revenue to be had on Zynga (come on, you know you want that pond).
