Can someone help me here? Just downloaded Bovada and created an account and deposited. Running on Mac Yosemite. And I have no sounds. I enabled sounds in the settings and yes of course my volume is turned up. But nothing. My games kept timing out cuz I didn't see it was on me since I'm used to a beep.

Any help?

I don't know if anyone other than Bodog management could tell you why, but they haven't allowed Europeans for almost two and a half years.

The mac client has no sound, it's a known bug. I switched to windows boot camp for this reason, and other stability issues.

The mac client really is terrible and will cost you more money than it would for you to run windows boot camped for poker.

Then again, some players have no issues with the mac client. Others I know have lost a lot of $ due to disconnects, errors, no sound, or just been fed up with the constant issues.

What is your job?

Strange, I run the client on Mac Yosemite and sounds are/have been fine. There's some other more minor issues with my settings not saving when I close the client, but the sound is operational.

Has any body had a bad experience with Bodog customer service? The last 2 times I've sent them something, they haven't even bothered to get back to me. The first time I just brushed it off, but 2 times in a row now they can't even bother to email back a customer that pays thousands a month in rake? Wtf.

I don't remember where I saw this (it was around the time they pulled out), but the reasoning was that they wanted to focus their effort on markets that had a lot of growth potential instead of trying to fight with sites like Poker Stars in the well established markets.

question, i currently live in california

IF i decide to move nevada AND change my address to reflect that will i run into an issue playing on the website?

i heard something about the player pool being separated and was worried about being locked into playing online NV players

As far as I understand Bovada is not available for Nevada residents.

Mac client works pretty flawlessly from my experience so far and i've been on it for over a year. The only time i had an issue was when the the mac client quit working for a week last year.

I always call if my first e-mail doesn't resolve the issue. I have had 100% of my issues resolved over the last 8 years or so. Sometimes they seem to not understand what your asking (not sure if its a language barrier thing or they just don't get poker and misunderstand what your asking). If the CS agent on the phone can't help you either call back another time or ask for a supervisor ... someone will eventually help you.

I was just thinking about something--how does seating work in relation to registration time for Bovada MTTs? E.g. I've registered the bdpo4 championship main event already w my ticket--if I were to leave this as it is, would I have a 100% shot at being sat with the other early registration individuals (who are, presumably, a tougher bunch than the people registering the day of)?

edit: actually, the fact that the 9 people at a starting table don't have ascending player numbers kind of shows that this isn't the case if i'm not mistaken

Yes I believe your second statement sums it up nicely. In the tourny lobby the numbers ascend perfectly so the number assigned to you DOES correspond to how early you registered. It is then randomly shuffled between the current available player base before the first deal if I'm not mistaken.

In the bigger mtt's, those super early registers are sattelite winners. youve seen the play in those.

Makes sense. I have Fusion so I can run it on there.
