Yes, but only if you are now someone else.

It really amazes me how many players are willing to buy into some of these satties in the 65th minute to inherit stacks that aren't even 2 BB.

adding data points about netspend i very recently used, to provide the most up-to-date correct info.

-free to order the card from their site and takes 5 business days to arrive
-no monthly fee
-$1.95 fee to instantly transfer money from a bank debit card to netspend (fee added on to the transferred amount shown in your bank account)
-$1 fee for online transaction to deposit on bovada
-3.5% foreign transaction fee on the total deposit amount that includes bovada 4.9% fee

the total deposit amount charged you see in your netspend account will be a few extra cents or dollars more than what bovada charged, the same would be seen in your bank account if you deposited with your debit card. this is because the international processors bovada use, charge that extra amount, i verified this with bovada customer service.

so if you want to deposit $100 on bovada using netspend, transfer $110 to netspend to cover all the fees. it might be cheaper otherwise to deposit using a debit card since their only fee is usually a 3% international transaction fee.

also, when doing an instant transfer, your bank or netspend might deny the transaction, depending on the error message you get. if it's the bank, you'll have to try another amount and/or at a later time (hours, days, etc.) till you succeed. if it's netspend, there'll be a number to call and you'll have to correctly answer their questions about your previous addresses which they get from your credit report i think, to verify it's you, before they approve the transfer.

Has anyone had any experiences with unsolicited calls from Bovada reps? I started an account but didn't deposit right away (was just checking out the software, debating whether I should/could deposit). Two days later I got a call from some bovada rep out of the blue, asking about my experience with the site and asking if I wanted to deposit. It really bugged me that they made me provide a phone number 'for security purposes' then used it for sales. I kind of flew off the handle and made them de-activate my account.

Is it standard to get these types of calls?

Nope, after I signed up I just played on the play-chips tables for a bit then closed the client. Hadn't even logged on a second time before they called me.

Standard from Bovada. A friend of mine signed up last week and did not deposit. He received two calls in three days. The customer service is simply trying to encourage deposits from new customers.

I think you posted something important, but I can't be bothered to read it with your avatar demanding my attention.

Does Bovada ask for an ID/proof of residence when you make a withdrawal?

I emailed a picture of both my ID and my electric bill with the address showing when I reactivated my account

EDIT: now that I think about it, I only had to do so because my previous addresss was in Vegas and they don't allow NV. Now I don't have an answer for you but my guess to your ? is yes.

I've never had to show id or anything. Joined in March, only made 5 withdrawals, stopped playing in August due to school starting again.

No, I live in the U.S. and have not submitted any documentation to bovada. Other than the online application I completed to sign up for a poker account.

You are fine, just don't play at the same tables/tournys.

My brother and dad have accounts from the same IP but we rarely play at the same time and never would play the same table.
