I have a $1000 poker bankroll and I deposit $100 a time on Bovada. Last night I deposited my $100 on Bovada and lost four buy-ins. I woke up the next morning and I have $100 on my account. I have verified I did not make an additional deposit. Did Bovada give me free money?

I heard the charge to deposit which is a bit rough, do they tell you that exactly how much they are going to charge? Also my understanding is cashouts are quick and painless, they are reputable, and that I shouldn't be too worried with leaving 25% of my total roll on the site, is that accurate?

Thanks, for any info.
Correct, there is no rakeback and the penalties are harsh. Anyone caught offering rakeback is immediately kicked upon their first offense, lose all pending payments/funds, and lose any future earnings from all referred players. They are also banned from opening another account.

You can get the full signup bonus via CC.

They charge 4.9% for CC deposits, but they waive the fee if it's your initial deposit.

Cashouts are quite fast and there are various "poker cashout reports" online that can attest to this, as well as the cashier threads on 2+2, P5s, etc.

They are reputable, well funded, and Bodog has been in operation for 20 years, your funds are probably safer here than most places, as these people understand the offshore game.

Just DLed the Bovada poker client. When I try to load it up, it starts a live update, but then immediately gives me this error message:

There seems to be a temporary problem affecting the poker client installation. We will continue to attempt to download the client.

If anyone else has dealt with this and can help at all, i'd appreciate it. Fwiw, I tried uninstalling and re-installing. Also, I'm using campus wifii, but that shouldn't matter...i don't think.

Thanks

Has anyone found a way to get HEM2's HUD to work with Bovada? I was thinking of finding some way to piggyback off of holdem indicator. I talked to Patvs from HEM2 and he said it would be possible in theory. He also said that someone might have already done it or at the very least created a script that converted holdem indicator's live hand grab into a format that was compatible with HEM2.

If anyone else is working on this, or a developer wants to work on this, I would be more than happy to help in any way I could.

I got this message some time yesterday, too. Forget circumstances (old age?). Got disconnected once yesterday and day before too -- never happened before over the years.

The short stacking is out of control from 50nl-200nl 6max. And we're not talking fish short stacks. It's the roaches who sit there waiting for big hands to flat begging to double up lol. Now I know some of these roaches represent some of you and all I wanna say is this.

Winners wanna maximize their wins. Losers worry about minimizing their losses. Get some freakin confidence in yourselves and stop destroying the games with a bunch of players you can't make it past a flop with out being all in. It's not poker. You're effectively denying yourself experience with the most important part of the game being the turn and river.

That is all.

You highly doubt? I play 3k+ hands a day. I say they do constantly. What experience are you drawing from?

The idea is to blah blah flat with 10's-A's. Shove flop with 10's-K's over a cbet on blank boards or call again with AA hoping to get one more bet on turn. Like that's the most standard freakin ss line ever lol. I have a gazillion HH's to prove it.

Stick to what you know

Whenever I sit at a tablr with multiple shortstackers I ask in chat "does your mother know you're a shortstacker?"

Here's my beef with them from smallest to biggest.

First you can't play past a flop with them since you're basically all in by the turn so that takes away a huge chunk of the game (turn and river play) which is where good players get their biggest advantage.

Second it forces you to change your style of play pre. I have to tighten up the ranges I raise with when they're in the blinds or behind me which is super annoying and just makes the games tighter.

Third having the little roach stacks at the table that are just there waiting for big hands to double up with is like having some homeless guy following me around begging for change. It's just the principle that they are only there to risk as little as possible and will only give action when they have top 5 hands. I mean they're a waste of a seat just trying to pick the crumbs off the floor while the rest of the table eats.

It's like easy as hell to spot the fish from the grinders and super easy to play against them once you know but they ruin games. More than 1 and I leave the game every time and that is where my frustration is coming from.

A short stacking bot is the easiest bot to program. They don't care about gaining poker experience, just cash.
