The only thing I found was that Chili/770 merged together and that they teamed up with the Golden Nugget. Is that what your talking about? If not could you post a link?

Someone asked me if I was a bot, I purposely don't respond because then they immediately think you are

I have no idea of how secure the new site is against government attempts to shut them down, but one thing is certain and should play a role in decisions to deposit on Bovada.

They are licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission which is on at least its 4th major strike. In the original UB/AP cheating discoveries, the KGC accepted a cheating report prepared by a conflicted insider that almost certainly underestimated the quantum of cheating based on screennames not released and weird excuses about HH destruction. There has never been a public accounting of stolen money or player remuneration.

The second issue came when Cereus proved up as not using adequate network security features AFTER the cheating. The KGC did not discover this in their role as overseer, nor did the rubber stamp audit agency Gaming Associates. Little was done after the discovery.

The third issue occurred after BF when current players realized the company had not maintained adequate reserves of player deposits and the licensing agency didn't specifically require them to. It is likely players will see pennies on the dollar if that.

Players at Bovada should understand their money may or may not be kept apart from operating cashflow. They need to realize if the unexpected occurs, that the KGC will not respond with real assistance and they have not done anything from an auditing standpoint to deserve their role as licensor.

Just sayin

You make some valid points about KGC and the handling of UB/AP. However, while this site has some flaws I don't like, it does pay you in a timely matter and has the best CS in the business IMO. That speaks volumes for me.

As I've said before, keep poker as a hobby and only play with money you won't miss if something happens.

Horrible night!!! Power went out as I just started playing. I had 1 SNG going and another waiting to fill when it happened. I called Bovada to see if they can unregister me in the SNG that hadn't started, they said they can't. The power came back on about an hour later but the SNGs were down, so $270 down to start. Now I'm playing catch up when I was only gonna play a couple hours. They are filling so slow right now. I hope everybody is having a better night than me.

That's ridiculous. There's no reason why they can't unregister you from a SNG. You just got one of many totally clueless CS reps that they employ.

^I agree they should be able to, it's unacceptable. Hopefully it's something they fix in the future, but as of now the only person that can unreg a tournament for you is you.

Prepaid visa gift cards do not work outside the US. Use your credit or debit card, it will work fine and won't show up as gambling on your statement.

Never tried it but they do sell International Gift Cards for both mastercard and visa and cost no different. They can be used anywhere in the world that takes mastercard or visa, never tried them on a poker site but have used them MANY times when making international orders that were otherwise not available by using a normal gift card.

Who the heck even posted this? Hate it when posters don't sign their name.

shameless whine i burned 14k pts for the 100k grntd and won maybe 5 hands over 3 hours to bust in 200ish. so fail. i had the chance to convert ~100$ pts into money after the big software switch too but figured i'd wait until i had enough to play the 100k to try and bink.

2. Are you implying Bovada has bots or the players use them? I always heard bots were exploitable.

If the house uses a bot, then the house can deal out whatever card is needed to win. Not very exploitable. This is not the sort of bot you are thinking of. Its much worse.

I would imagine bots would be more prevalent than before anonymous switch. Unless Bovadadog significantly improved their bot-detection techniques at the time of the switch. They had bots in the micros before anonymous poker.

It would be naive to think these problems are magically gone or not even getting worse. No matter the site, a large percentage of bot crackdowns can be attributed to players reporting them. Kinda scary how much faith we have to put in Bodovada security to keep us from being cheated as anonymous poker imo is a haven for cheaters.

Do any of you think there is a chance for Bovada to allow player to player transfers? I know it is a long shot considering they haven't allowed it by now.
