The quickest and easiest way to deposit is to just use a Visa. You have to pay a 9% fee or whatever it is, but it's instant.

I guess I head back to Merge (which runs perfectly in Mavericks FYI)
If you disable the "Show Game Play Animation" feature it works OK, I'm still able to play. Please email them. Feel free to use my explanation, that way there will be the same wordage.

If you disable the "Show Game Play Animation" feature it works OK, but I usually never play more than two tables. Please email support regarding this.

Thank goodness I decided to not update to Maverick. Figured Bovada would lag in their software support.

Couldn't you just run parallels and play on Bovada Windows in the mean time?

Visa is simple. I'm positive the fee is less than 5%. I think it might be like 4.9%.

WU is the easiest and they refund the $10 fee. I wouldnt give out my CC to any poker site. Also forget the gift cards. They only accept the "internet" ones which have a 5% fee and a $20 monthly fee. If you have a WU near you (grocery or pharmacies) its much easier.

You wouldn't give out your credit card to any internet poker site yet you trust their software not to screw you? What kind of logic is that? I've been playing for years on all kinds of sites and every single deposit has been with a credit card. This is PokerStars, Full Tilt, Doyle's room, Black Chip, Lock, Bovada, Carbon, Sportsbook, and half a dozen other ones. Never had a problem or any fraud or suspicious activity. Go ahead and deposit using a credit card, it's no problem.

Well I suppose I could, or use my PC, but I'd rather not. Bovada has a thread with what appears to be staff asking for suggestions, and he completely ignored my post, and didn't bother putting it in the "bugs" section when it is clearly a problem.

I don't trust anyone but my mother. And sometimes I wonder about her!
Which is why the money I deposited on Bovada is spare change. I am not saying I trust them (or anyone else), but I have seen nothing to indicate that the games are suspect. And I have yet to see any credible reports that their games are suspect. I tend to believe in the if it walks like a duck philosophy. So far they have excellent software, excellent customer support, the best cash outs in the industry, and they seem to be run by professionals who understand customer service. And their player model seems to be where the industry is going. But I ain't giving them my credit card.

Debit card has protection too from theft. As long as you report it within 30 days of the transaction, at least that's Visa's policy. I do recall someone posting about an issue with their card being used in the far east fraudulently but never heard anything about it again, so it could have just been a fake story.

I went ahead and made a separate bank account a while ago just for poker transactions/paypal/etc. That way if anything ever did happen, it wouldn't affect my daily life expenses.

You and everyone else should give a ****. Just because you are able to dispute a fraudulent charge doesn't mean the credit card company recovers the money. So we ALL pay the price as the credit card companies pass their loss on in terms of higher rates, etc.

I think you mean all the people who carry a balance on a CC who pay the interest rate, not everyone.

APR doesn't mean anything to me because who in their right mind would carry a balance at 15%+ interest rates lol.

how can anyone really trust this software's "random" shuffler

I was playing 3 tables of .25/.50, within 5 minutes I had two people hit quads vs me all in pre flop with lower pairs....ok.jpg

my AA vs KK, K on flop K on River
my 99 vs 55, 5 on flolp 5 on Turn

that's more than just bad luck and variance if you ask me

except crap like that happens in live play too, only thing is you can only play one table at a time and about 30 hands an hour. So 5 minutes at 3 tables online is equal to about 45 minutes live play.
