Bovada Sports Betting is currently down.

Why is this site down so often?

So for anyone that doesn't get it by now, the site is dead and only occupied by bots, regs that are losing but haven't realised it yet and a couple of recreationals.
I don't write this to argue with you, as I haven't played much in the past couple of years at the 1k and 2k reg tables, but as recently as yesterday I've played with many insane fishies at 200z!

Hand a hand yesterday; I open LJ, HJ 3b, CO coldcalls, SB calls, I 4b squeeze with AJs, and only the SB calls. Flop AQ4r and they snap c/shove with the A6o, eventually binking a chop.

They can be found at 500z too, but in less plentiful supply.

Definitely assume there are some bots, but they don't use particularly sharp sizings, as far as I can tell. Of course, action is not always as soft as it is on a March Madness weekend...

I'm guessing that crushing 200z at 450 hands/hr while playing a couple MTTs on the side (I've only known them to be soft, up to the 1055s) can get you kinda close to the hourly of 4-tabling normal 1k tables at 300 hands/hr or whatever it is at a way lower winrate with no MTTs on the side. Could be wrong, I'm no math guy.

One thing I still don't completely understand is the impact this has on all in-ev. I have now had 10 straight months of running bad in all-in ADJ$$. Shouldn't the odds of that happening in any given month (or any other arbitrary time frame) be 50/50. So the chances of that would be .50^10 right? Can the colluders really have THAT much of an impact on the all in EV?

I feel like more and more bots have gotten onto this site recently. Didn’t think that maybe 18-24 months ago as things didn’t seem so weird back then

I mean sure, both people could be 0bb/100 at 200z and 1k and therefore equal hourly. Or someone could be losing at 1k but beating 200nl and it be better hourly at 200.

You can make a bunch of hypothetical intangibles where 200z + mtts is a better hourly... But zero chance 200z is a better hourly than 1k reg tables for a good reg who is beating 1k. Rake structure in zoom games means that winrates are pretty much capped out at something like 7bb/100 maybe 8 (there have been plenty of posts about this in other threads on this forum). Plenty of regs (at least pre Dec 2023) have been beating 1knl for 6+bb/100 for large samples.

I was looking for an online poker room that doesn't require me to show my id and I came across ignition.
I signed up and did the phone number verification, but before depositing on the site I wanted to be sure that I will be able to withdraw without showing my id, because from what I saw online they could ask for the identification but if they do you would find it in your inbox on the site.
If you have any experience with the site I would like to hear from you.

Any site with decent traffic will require ID for withdrawal

Do the bots mix limps, 2x and 2.5x raises on the button HU?

I find it slightly harder to determine the bots HU but I'm pretty confident that they mix 2x, 2.5x and 3x HU.

Hey, how's collusion/bot situation currently at nl500 and nl1k? Haven't played at all since December last year. Is it unplayable ?

No they do not limp from what I've seen. They are harder to spot HU since there either is multiple profiles or they got updated. I agree with pontylad though that they do mix 2 , 2.5x and 3x. There is either a big influx of regs or updated bots that are now opening either 2.2 or 2.3 at 2k specifically in both 6max and HU.

In general I would argue that the bots were updated way more times in the last 2 months or so than they were for a long time.

Hi.

Does anyone know how to deal with an Out of Date file for Ignition Hand Grabber for HE3?

Can't get a HUD up.

Thanks!

Interesting considering it's the same company that make the bots on bonition. Think I have underestimated how high their winrates are vs other regs.

GG guys, it's been fun. I may check out ignition again in future but I am finished with it right now. I honestly do not think the games are beatable unless being crazily selective with tables. GL to any of you who continue to grind it.

They've done nothing about it and it's only getting worse. Also done with Ignition, don't expect the poker side to be around for much longer.

Man, this is just so sad to hear. It's crazy that we're at the point where ACR is the preferred site for Americans now.

Wouldn't go as far as saying that tbh. ACR is still **** lol.

Options are quite limited.... all the scandals with ACR + global poker + ignition, what other options are there? Chico had a bunch of bots in the past, but I think those are cleared up but they have pretty ridiculous rake. I'm not sure what the traffic is looking like there for midstakes+ either.

I feel disgusting for even saying this. But play live. ACR is still just as bad as Bodog, even with their recent clean up and bans and ****. They will never be able to keep up.

I'm gonna go shower now.

I wish I had the option to play live. Closest casino is a 3.5 hour drive.

Yeah it's brutal. Not even sure ACR is the answer but it's hilarious to think that Iggy has gone from probably the softest site in the world to one of the hardest.

I think people are vastly underestimating how good the bots are (which I guess should be obvious if they're also sharing cards). I imagine with ultra table selecting they can still be beaten but probably just not worth it.

I've stopped grinding low stakes zone as well. Maybe possible to generate a bit of EV there still but it's tough. I have been winning for a decade +.
