I guess it's possible we're all dusty withered US regs losing to all the VPN'ing wizards of the world.... but something feels weird/unnatural about it(more than just collusion/RTA).
I never posted about it for the obv reasons, but seeing other long time posters/winners share their thoughts, I feel obligated. Flame away.
I don't use Jurojin(but prev used Table Tamer), just PT and IG card catcher.
I think it is this (bold)
I am having my worst downswing since 2019 (the earliest the database I am using goes back) but I am almost certain is because of how difficult the mid stakes games have gotten. Bodog has been my main site since 2011 and I am pretty confident the site is on the up and up. I think the most likely explanation is the new bunch of player are just way better than what the average reg was in the past. Specifically, something happened around September-November of 2022 and the games just felt different. It feels like every competent person at 500NL is a full time pro now instead of the mix of pros, profitable weekend warriors like me, and the recs giving it away. The middle is being squeezed out I think.
It is also possible there is more collusion. I don't worry too much about RTA at 500NL but I guess that is also possible. I review all my sessions and I think I am just getting outplayed, plain and simple. I will probably just stop playing until football season is back - luckily poker isn't my main source of income so I can just stop and enjoy the nice weather for the next few months.
