No, it's just how chrome functions. It creates new threads for every process. It's more efficient if you're on a win 10 system. If you're not, it can lag your system down over time. From a programming stand point, trying to do what we're doing, it just creates a ton of complexities because now instead of that data being in one stream, it's in 15 or more and different parts of it exists in several.
So, you have to be able to know which one has each piece that you need and put it all together. It's just not easy. I don't think they did it intentionally, I think it was to setup an easier cross platform solution. Although if they had asked me, this isn't what I would have suggested. It's going to cause a lot of other issues for them long term.
