Bodog.eu phone number seems to be down (877-263-6422). Can anyone else confirm?

Does anyone else have this issue. Whenever I am in a tournament the prizepool does not update unless i close the site and go back in. It will stay stuck on whatever it was when i registered.

open it from the main lobby, and wait/keep it open. Sometimes it takes a while to update, but eventually it will.

Settings reset again... This is kind of getting annoying.

Has anyone downloaded enough of their HHs to do any significant statistical research?

I'm def not a troll, nor a loser on the site, but short-term anecdotal evidence has me at least marginally concerned about a "lively" deck. That being said, I am playing at low-limits, with bad players who will chase virtually ANY draw.

Theoretically at least, anonymity could be very advantageous to the house. It would be nice to see some number-crunchers completely set my mind at ease.

Of course. Many players download every single hand they play on Bovada. They have plenty of data and zero concern of a rig. You apparently have zero data and a useless gut feeling. What would you deem as more reliable?

And why exactly would they ever want a "lively" deck? Why would they want recreational players to go broke in one hand? This is absolutely the opposite of what they would want and would cost them a ton of money. Riggies throw this juiced deck theory out without ever thinking of what it would accomplish. The reality is that the natural ebb and flow of poker is much more conducive to collecting rake optimally and letting players play longer with their dollars so they can drop those dollars in the casino or sportsbook than the imaginary juiced deck.

As far as the RNG goes, no it is not. You are wrong. We already established that players are fully capable of tracking their play. This ensures that any "lively" rig would be just as detectable at Bovada as it would at any site.

Anonymity is definitely a concern as far as identifying other players that are cheating, but because of the ability to collect hand histories the RNG is not anonymous.

Finally, if anyone has any evidence at all supporting actual player cheating or a rigged rng, please create a thread with that evidence. I can assure you the whole forum will be grateful and you will be a hero.

If the evidence you have is "a feeling" you can still discuss it in the thread below.

Lets keep this thread to discuss more tangible issues instead of clogging it with bad beat stories. We all take the same beats every day on every site and in every poker game. This is standard. You are not being targeted. You are not special. You are just playing poker and that is what happens in poker all the time.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...these programmers are so piss poor that they can't get basic **** right like posting blinds and what the buttons are and aren't supposed to do. There's no way in hell they have enough intelligence to program a rigged deck.

On the note of downloading hands, is there a way to do anything with the option to download hands in bovadas menu?

I can browse all the hands and see other people's hole cards, but I don't see what "downloading" hands does versus just browsing in the bovada application.

I tried the bovada hand converter once and of worked fine, but it only lasts 24 (real time) hours.

And an undetectable one would be quite the chore for even the best programmers to say the very least, if it is even possible at all to significantly manipulate a mathematically defined output without detection when that output is openly disclosed to the public and under constant scrutiny. Most would argue its not possible without the threat of detection fwiw.

Once downloaded, you can use the converter to download the hands permanently to software such as Holdem Manager, Poker Tracker, et cetera.

There you analyze and dissect them at your own leisure just like you could with hands at other poker sites.

The software, in fact, seems behind the standards they had when I first played on Bodog some 8 years ago or so.

I'm sorry to clog the precious thread that has about 10 posts a day with general questions. You answered many of them intelligently, but bordered on condescension, which was unwarranted. I did not offer a SINGLE bad-beat story with my questions and concerns.

With an unregulated market and anonymous tables (and being new to playing once again) I was curious if others felt good about the fairness of the site. I STILL don't think these questions are unfair, but feel better when considering some of your non-hateful responses.

Shame on you LesJ because 5thStreetHog gave one of the best responses you could ask for, an A+ to him. You should reread his advice and recognize the mindset that he's working with, it's the kind you need to win at poker in the long run. You sir are running on too much "feeling" and emotion and that's not good for your game.

It's funny you say that, Tropics, because I was just thinking the last couple of days that this new poker economy may have fixed any amount of tilt I had in my game.

I put a small deposit on about a month ago, was happy to figure out a way to get it on, and have absolutely NO illusions of getting anything off anytime soon. I can play, re-build my game and build a bankroll without any pressure. No cursing at screen, no crushing of mouses and no chat-berating of fish. I had 2-3 bad sessions, but was able to diagnose some leaks and adapt.

Rigged Deck? Definitely not.

House bots and collusion? Nobody knows or will ever know.

I'm no riggie, but I'm no fan of the anonymous tables either and I'm definitely not going to trust a site to police itself.

You have to pay for wi-fi in most of the hotels. The Rio had no wi-fi the last time I was there a couple of years back, hopefully this is fixed now. Why don't you try out the new legal US poker Ultimate Poker? I know I will this summer.

Once again I ask: why is it that every rigtard has the grammar skills of a 2nd grader?

Well in light of your polite response to me I will say "cool, glad to hear that your game is going in the right direction." One last thing in case you've never heard about it (I'm sure many of the posters here have already watched it): If you find anger/tilt to be a big problem for you, i.e. "cursing at screen, crushing mouses, chat-berating the fish," then I would suggest going to DeucesCracked and watching the video series entitled "The Eightfold Path to Poker Enlightenment." It helped me out quite a bit back in the day and I still watch it from time to time. Good luck.
