Definitely DDoS. DDoS for ransom has been growing rapidly. With the rise of bitcoin, it's easy for hackers to get paid. And guess what company probably has a huge stockpile of bitcoin? Additionally, it's not like Bovada can call the FBI for help.

With the money they are getting there is no way to fix these issues?

I asked him to clarify, and he re-iterated that he did not foresee the software working again tonight.

This makes sense. This started to get bad once they went to using bitcoin. Can they fix it?

Trying to get some bitcoin to put on ACR.. **** bitcoin is annoying to use.

bitcoin is actually super easy to use once you get accustom to it. Instant depo with no fees and fastest withdraw times.

There are services like CloudFlare that are specifically for mitigating DDoS attacks so they don't take down servers. However, I bet there's no way in hell Cloudflare (based in U.S.) would accept Bovada as a client due to their legal situation.

So it's up to Bovada's engineering team to find a solution. Based on the quality of their client software, I don't have much faith.

If ACR had half of a brain, they'd be hiring a full time marketing team tomorrow and a new IT dept to improve their payout time, which is the primary reason we all prefer Bovada. I would switch in a heartbeat if that changed given this cluster****....

all depends I think.. One of the Bitcoin casinos I use occasionally uses Cloudflare and I mean, they are just an online casino so.

They'll get it fixed eventually. Maybe they'll pay the hackers off (probably a terrible idea). Or they'll figure out some technical solutions. Either way, it'll be extremely expensive for them to fix, and that's not even considering the lost revenue from down-time.

Interesting. I have no idea what CloudFlare's policies are, so I was just speculating. On the other hand, Bovada probably doesn't want to get involved with any U.S.-based companies if they can help it.

I agree, but they need to figure it out and do something if this is going to consistently happen.
