Deposited and money available the next day on the largest retail bank in the US, but I'll wait at least 2 months before I consider the check to clear.
FYI. Banks can give you funds for up to 4 weeks or so before it can still come back bad..Just keep an eye on your account my friend. one of mine bounced 32 days after I had spent it.

Hoping I'm safe now. I deposited my North check into my CU account on 11/30.
That was exactly 4 weeks ago. I checked today with my CU and no problems at all.

I kind of think I am "safe" now.

Time to request another withdrawal. I figure based on what I'm reading here I should receive the check in 2-3 weeks (?)

they will usually come fed ex. sometimes dhl or ups. It Will need signature though.

When they miss you they will leave door tag letting you know. You can either pick it up later that day when driver is back or they will reattempt delivery the next day.

You can also sign the tag and tell them to leave it sitting outside, if you trust nobody to mess with it.

You can just sign the paper that the delivery person leaves on your door, stick it back to your door signed and the next day they will leave the package if your not there.

similarly, if i've always deposited via CC, can i change that to WU by just depositing by WU?

this is obv for payouts. okay i guess the better question is how can i get wu/mg payouts instead of check?

For Wu
all u have to do is call up cs
and ask them if ur able to do wu
and then u can just do the payout tat way

no deposits through wu required

Incorrect, It clearly states on there site that you have to first deposit through Western Union and same goes for Moneygram.

Thats irrelevant. Its clearly what support says, guess it just depends who you get. I know people who have withdrawn from WU and never deposited via WU. ACR is the same way

Requested a payout on 12/10
Received tracking info last night. It's arriving today, 12/31, via DHL

This is the fasted turnaround I've gotten from Bovada.

I was told by Bovada support that anyone can cashout by WU as of just recently regardless of how they deposited.

As for MG that is based on your last deposit(s) regarding cashout which upset me because I would of used that recently instead of WU to deposit just because the fees are cheaper for MG then WU. I did make a few MG deposits over time but they still won't give me that option to cashout since none are recent.

+1

This is correct.
It does say on the payout screen you have to of had deposited via WU to get that payout. Because thats what it used to be. It has changed recently..if you have read the last few pages you would see plenty of people getting WU withdraw without every having deposited with it.

you are incorrect sir. I have never deposited with WU and get payouts every 9 days or so...recently it has changed for money transfer...not changed for rapid transfer though....

I had no problems with my first cashout from Bovada, but this most recent one is a player's worst nightmare. First request was Nov. 9, was approved and received a check from up north. It looked very questionable, but support told me to go through the collection teams at my bank, which I did. The funds were available the next day, but the very next day following that, it bounced. The reason given was "account frozen". After a bunch of back and forth emails with support, they agreed to send my payout via Western Union. It was supposed to be reviewed within 48 hours and said it could take 2-3 business days after that. Well, all that started on December 18th. The latest communication I got from support was a doozy:

We are contacting you from Bovada Customer Service in regard to your payout with Reference Number 3786228 for $846.78 dated December 18, 2012 via Money Transfer.

Please be advised that the transaction mentioned above is still under review by the merchant itself. As such, kindly note that we really have to wait for their investigation to be completed before we can proceed with the payment.

We thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding on this matter.

Gotta love the state of online poker. No recourse, just keep bending over and taking it.

Just wondering: Have the bounced check issues resided?

I deposited a check on 11/30 and it appears to have gone through.

I just requested another payout on Friday and I'll probably do another one on Friday (trying to stay with the one check per calendar month).

I generally do relatively small amounts (about $300).

Also, does anyone see any correlation between the amount of the check and the "bounciness." I seem to get the feel that checks above $500 are more likely to bounce. I'm not sure if that makes any sense.

Comments?

Mel

No, there is no correlation between the amount of the check and whether it bounces.

The checks bounce because the processor gets shut down or they bail.

I thought they would but they said "oh yes we cash these checks".The place might be more lenient than others but they did verify a check of a girl who was ahead of me.
