my bad for assuming. maybe they just do that for residents in the states that can't get checks?

I decided to give bovada a try and deposited 20 dollars with a my visa. I ran it up to 120 in a couple days just messing around and requested a cashout by check on 2/17. I still have not received the check yet. My question is what to tell my credit union if they question me on why i have this check from another country. i just dont want to get questioned and not know what to say.

^ Just fill out the deposit slip and hand them the check, nothing more than that is needed if your worried. I don't spark conversations with the tellers when I deposit money just the typical "Hello, I want to deposit this check in my account".

The random fee associated with some of the checks is a concern. I know posting bank names is against the rules, but people hit by the fee should report whether the financial institution was a credit union or major bank.
the fee would be because of a foreign check, not b/c of the bank where you take it. Yes, there will be a slight difference in fee amount, but any bank that has to send a check through foreign collections is going to charge you a significant amount. My credit union will not even accept foreign checks (luckily, I have never received one that is 100% foreign).

Please refrain from posting actual locations of where the check came from. Use words such as north of the us ,far east, etc. posting actual locations does nothing but potentially harm the players because it can compromise the payment processors. Please edit your above post or maybe a moderator can do so.

The tellers at my banks always ask me , " was this check sent in the mail or were did u get this check from." how would u answer this, or would u jus ignore then?

Is it humanly possible to get 20-30k off Bovada/month? It looks like wires would be the only way, but they seem to be unavailable or failing for most people. Doesn't this rule Bovada out as an option for US mid-high pros? If so, why do mid-high games continue to run all the time? My brain is not processing this.

once you get your first check in a large withdraw you get each additional check a week pretty much like clockwork

Aren't the checks just for 3k max each though? That's 10k/month max if everything goes right (checks arrive on time, no bounces). Still nowhere near 20-30k.

Many high stakes players prob moved out of the country, which means you can get payouts in a day to Moneybookers...others will still have a ton of money on the site if cashing out is difficult. Others just know the reward/risk is high enough in their minds to continue playing.

I'm lookin to make my first payout. They want credit card verification and a copy of my ID. Is this normal? Is it safe? Don't like the idea of faxing this info. What's the best way to go. Check, transfer? THX

Thanks, nice post. I relocated for a couple months to play on Stars, so I will call to see if that opens up any more options for me since I have a Canadian bank account.

On the risk/reward... do you mean they hope that they will make a successful wire? Or that they hope better withdrawal methods will eventually become available?

This is standard. Best way to go is clearly the free monthly check. For me it takes 3-4 weeks with the Bovada switch and took 7-10 business days when Bovada was Bodog.
