Ummmm. Becky, I (like many here) requested my money from Bodog when Bodog was still "in the US market." So, Bodog, which does still exist, needs to pay me my money. They can send mine in U.S. $20 bills. I know those won't bounce.

Got my check from out (way) west today via DHL. The DHL lady told my wife "an illegal gambling website is sending these from **** in order to make it look like its not illegal" or something like that, obviously made my wife embarassed. She also said she has been delivering quite a few of them recently and been warning everyone that they are from illegal internet gambling websites and she told my wife she thinks she has gotten a few husbands in trouble with their wives. Lol DHL lady

Edit: check was requested the same day as the software update fwiw

I'd file a complaint with DHL about the delivery woman. It's not her job or place to speculate on the contents of the packages she's delivering.

This was better than my plan. Mine was to tell her to STFU, it is none of her business.

Should have said that I got the WU payout info in my OP rather than the actual money

I'd do both.

She almost certainly didn't tamper with the mail. Some idiot who received a check likely told her where it's from.

Fwiw our DHL lady this summer said, "enjoy your money" lolz

This is a bit alarming and disturbing. I had the same thing happen to me about 1.5 months ago. DHL lady said the same thing about this is a "gambling check" and that she has been delivering quite a few of these. I find this hard to believe. How can so many people cash out in the 10 mile radius she covers or whatever the hell it is? Do you guys think DHL is asking their drivers to snoop around? I find it a bit strange, this is the 2nd post I know of in the past 2 months about DHL drivers. I live in the peninsula area just outside of San Francisco.

thanks for the speedy reply - they have been consistent with giving me numbers for a while, but they also say they send it to my regular email too, which almost never happens.

I'd like to know if anyone has had problems depositing the payout checks. The specific problem im having is that my bank is telling me that the check needs to be verified since it is from out of the country. I have had also had a check cashing place tell me the same thing. If anyone knows anything about this and could email me that would be great. robertos1990@yahoo.com

How the hell did she even know what it was?? I'd have called and filed a complaint before she was off my steps.

It is very strange.

I don't see how they could possibly know it's a "gambling check", even if some idiot, who received a check a couple stops before, said so, unless it was from the same exact business/processor. Even then, I don't see how the delivery person would feel so absolutely certain of the check's origin and purpose to blurt it out to a bunch of customers. Something is very strange, disturbing, and alarming about this.

I've never had it happen from DHL, Fedex, UPS, or USPS in almost 4 years.

Back when stars was up and running in the US....The DHL driver who would deliver my checks knew what was in the envelope and I always thought that was kinda weird...However, it was kinda nice on Fridays when I wasn't around for the initial delivery, he would re-attempt if he was driving by again because he thought I might want the money for the weekend he said lol

Who ever is having this problem should be reporting these people. They are obviously snooping around and opening things they shouldn't be speculating on the origin.

I really don't think they are snooping around if this is happening all over....Maybe the sites have to disclose to the delivery service what is actually in the envelope?

Weird.

Perhaps it's legal to open international mail?

I think they routinely open and inspect overseas mail at Customs.

I've received international mail that said it had been opened and inspected at Customs.

Still, I just don't get it. They open the package, see it's a check, and say "THAT"S A GAMBLING CHECK!!"??? I don't think so. How would they know.

Meh, I guess I'm safe b/c I'm pretty sure my Fedex delivery person wants to bang me. She's cute,,,, lol...true tho.

A check is probably all they are supposed to know. Its not their job to go around announcing what people's packages contain. They are only supposed to deliver them.
