Sorry late to the party on this but, Last time I used Circle to cash out the bitcoin was in Nov 2016, I see they have stopped this option, thus Circle is useless to me.

What is everyone using now as a safe alternative to Circle?

Volatile yes. Best option in current environment also yes. No one should have money they need to survive on the site to begin with. Yes a 15% loss on a cashout is possible and would be annoying but that's the cost of doing business in these times.

Not calling out anyone in particular, but this is getting waaaay off topic now. We already get complaints now and then about this thread being so Bitcoin-heavy (but I think that's fine when it's directly related to depositing/withdrawing as it's the primary method for so many) - we don't want this to become the Bitcoin future speculation thread.

Best places for that conversation:

Or this one wouldn't be bad if you want to stay in this forum:

For payouts at Ignition which wallet should I use beside Blockchain? My Blockchain account is messed up and Im looking to maybe use a different wallet.

But yes, Coinbase is the exchange that works the way Circle did. The other option is the Bitpay debit card.

Coinbase if you want to sell and get money in your bank. Timeframe 1-3 business days for the ACH to your bank. Fee of 1.5%

Bitpay card if you want to sell and have the money put on a card that you can either spend or withdraw cash from. Timeframe averages 10 minutes from the time you send bitcoin to when the cash is on the card and ready to withdraw. No fee to convert or spend, $2 fee per ATM withdrawal, and the card itself costs $10 to get.

FYI, you can still send Bitcoin to circle and it converts directly to USD. You can then cashout the same way straight to your bank account. I know because I do this. However the bitpay card really is the quickest way to go from Bitcoin to accessible USD.

This can only be done using a PREVIOUSLY used CIRCLE GENERATED ADDRESS to SEND FROM BLOCKCHAIN to CIRCLE.

Don't do that, they'll mark you up the ass. Do a wire transfer to Gemini and buy Bitcoin for market value. Then when you cash out you can sell Bitcoin on the exchange, request wire transfer and it hits your bank account the same business day, and it's all FREE!

I can't believe this still works. I'd do it if I wasn't hoarding all my cashouts and holding the BTC. I sell stock to pay the bills now. Not cash out my precious bitcoin :-).

Having an issue making a withdrawal from Ignition to Blockchain. I created a wallet address, entered it on Ignition, entered all the other info, hit withdraw but then it didn't register. So I hit the withdraw button again. This time, the page refreshed and at the top it said that there is an error, that the wallet address had already been previously used.
So I think for some reason even though the first time I clicked withdraw, the request didn't go through, but it registered that wallet address as having been used, so now it won't use it.

I went to Blockchain to try to refresh and get a new wallet address, but it keeps giving me the SAME wallet address. I even tried logging out of both but it still generates the same wallet address. Has this ever happened to anyone else? How to I get Blockchain to generate a new wallet address for me?

That address needs to do 1 transaction before they give you a new one. So you can either send .01BTC to it or open a new wallet at blockchain

On the right half of the page you should see "My Bitcoin Wallet". Under that should be a button that says "Add".

Click that and add a new section to your wallet. Give it a name like "February 9th W/D" or something.

Now when you click "Receive" at the top of the page you should be able to select that newly created section in the "Receive to" drop down.

That will give you a new address.

I actually like creating a new section in the wallet for each deposit and withdrawal just to help with my own records by keeping everything separate.

Thank you very much. Huge help!

I haven't been paying attention to this thread lately, but have their been any Coinbase issues? I transferred to Coinbase about 5 hours ago, and immediately received an email from Coinbase that I had received the bitcoin, but it is not in my Coinbase account. The transaction is there but still currently "pending". it's been 5 hours, shouldn't the balance be available to me by now?

Also, quick blockchain question. when I send or receive btc using blockchain, does the recipient/sender receive any personal information about me? Or is all they receive is the wallet address?

It's going to show as pending until the transaction gets confirmed.

Unfortunately if you haven't read this thread recently you might have missed the need to double check that your fee is high enough and how to adjust it.

So it's likely that your fee is lower than it should have been, and that's why there's a delay. You can PM me the link to the transaction if you want me to look at it and check.

As for the personal info when sending bitcoin... no, nobody would get any personal info about you. Being able to send money to someone without either of you needing to know anything about the other is a main feature of bitcoin.

I actually remember reading something about that here so I believe I requested the highest fee possible, but I'm not positive. But I will PM you the details, thank you. What is the usual range of transaction confirmation time from lowest fee to highest?

I've cashed out much of my earnings and now its about that amount where I need to file it for my taxes. Now I don't want to file as a poker professional as it is not my full time job. I tried reviewing my transactions on Ignition and found out that the transactions only go to 31 days. Where or how can I get a detailed review of my deposits and earnings as I also want to document my deductions with the games I lost.
Anyone of you file your earnings?
