Not sure why, but this really made me lol. The Bovada shut down occurs every few months, I wouldn't worry about it.

love how when you disconnect and log back in just as an extra needle from Bovada you have to individually click "take my seat" for every tourney table in a stack of lobbies centered in the middle of your screen instead of the tables just popping up, so you have to spread each table to its corner of the screen and close all the lobbies

and then click "i'm back" 20 times on each table to get back in the game

what is this some sort of game within a game where you're tested on mouse pointer speed and accuracy

for ****s sake

I guess I was drunk and on monkey tilt last night when the site was down. Also my Mac does get disconnected frequently from Bovada. But I do actually like Bovada and I don't think Calvin is a bad dude, despite some of my tilty comments last night. And on old Bovada sponsored tv shows they would show him hanging with all these bored-looking models and it looked like they were cast for the show. Just my opinion. Those old Bovada poker shows and commercials always looked very staged and fake.

Hearing all of these issues about software, I take it that trying to get Bovada to work on Linux is a bad idea? (I have a dual-boot with Windows, but avoid it like the plague)

Structures in the MM_Main and the MM_HighRoller yesterday were unacceptable IMO. Average stacks were far, far too shallow in both of them. The high roller case seems particularly egregious to me, considering it was (I believe) their highest buyin MTT ever up to this point.

Please try. I have been trying for like a month.
After it installs the computer shows the lobby window running in the background
but it does not appear on the screen.
Someone on the wine forums said they got it working by creating a 32-bit prefix
and installing some apps using winetricks

Install wine and winetricks
then:
Code:
$ WINEARCH=32 WINEPREFIX=~/win32 winetricks dotnet20 dotnet40 corefonts
$ WINEPREFIX=~/win32 wine BovadaPoker.exe
For me, the computer shows the lobby running but nothing appears on the screen even
when I do it this way. You will see a win32 directory and inside it a drive_c with the full
Bovada Install.
I want it to work so bad. If you or someone gets it please let me know what you did.
Bovada and wine thread I made here:

Here is a link to the wine thread over at wine:

Quick search and I saw this was posted in August but I didn't see a definitive solution...

Win7 laptop, everytime I load up the client I have to reset my settings. I tried to uninstall/install and I tried changing the settings on only 1 tab and saving, then closing the client and restarting. No such luck.

Anyone else experience this or have a solution?

Thanks, subscribed. Though I've been wanting Bovada on Linux for a while, it's an interesting coindence that you recently posted a thread about it. I'll see if I can make some progress one of these weekends.

Hello,

I used to play online poker before Black Friday, mainly on Pokerstars.
I miss those days, and am actually thinking about playing online again.

From what little research I have done so far, it seems Bovada has the largest player pool and the most action.
I have a few questions and would really appreciate your answers. I tried finding the answers myself but seeing this thread is too long I just couldn't find anything.

1. How are the cash games? what's the highest stakes you can play and what's the player pool like?
I am mainly a cash game player, so would really love to hear your input on the cash games at Bovada.

2. Just to confirm, cash outs are processed in 3 days, and you get a check within 7 business days, correct?

3. Is there no rakeback at all?

Thank you.

You can download the client and rail the games.
Keep in mind full tables are hidden.

Anybody know if you can win a 100k seat and a 250k seat? I see you can enter either with a 100k ticket which would lead me to believe the answer is no, but they are different colors in the lobby?

I agree. I think the reason is they feel they can't get enough rec players to play a high BI tourney that's going to run into the wee hours of a weekday morning. And even with 12 min levels they both finished past midnight EST, no?

If you look at the high BI events for GSPO3, the vast majority of them $162+ are 15 min levels. Boo-yah.

I've sent two emails to support that have received zero response. First one was 72 hours ago, 2nd one was 48 hours ago (to a different bovada email). No response from either. Not particularly alarmed but this is unusual for them. I didn't even get the customary "we have received your email and will respond shortly" email. Anyone else getting responses?
