Yeah I don't see the problem with that particular hand.

Getting it in set over set and getting 1 outed isn't a bad beat? Obviously there is nothing wrong with how it played out.

Yeah it's a horrible beat I'm talking about whether or not the villain is a fish based on that hand.

Haven't played on Bovada in a while so I forgot how downloading HH goes. My HHs have been stuck on "Download Requested" for days. Is there a step after requesting the download? I've checked my Bovada folder, and I don't see any new hand histories.

was mostly joking around and having fun with it....the picture didn't even show how the action went down, but regardless nobody is saying or implying he should of folded middle set. FWIW, he raise/called preflop vs my 3bet and then check/shoved 40bbs into like an 18bb pot.

lol its funny I've actually had the opposite sort of thing happen to me on a few occasions....I'm the guy who's always ready to pull out a little cash and offer to pay out an additional spot on money bubbles, especially the really slow tournaments. TWICE during my most recent poker trip I was the first person to suggest paying the bubble-boy to speed things up and sure enough, there was 1 or 2 people who didn't agree....and sure enough, I take 2-3 horrible beats in a row in each and end up stone-cold bubbling BOTH tournaments. sucks ass

This may not fix it for you but I've noticed that happens and I have to close and reopen the client when it does and they are then downloaded. If it's been going on for days, which suggests you likely have opened and reopened your client in the meantime, may want to call them.

Fair enough...as you can imagine I'm still bitter about last night so didn't pick up on the joke. yeah that's pretty horrible to bubble twice in a row after they refuse to give the bubble their entry back. I'm always amazed at how greedy some players are...I mean I understand not wanting to chop for 1st vs 2nd if you have a decent chip stack but one entry fee to cover the bubble isn't going to hurt the prize fund much imo.

Thanks. Wasn't sure if I was missing a step. I'll try opening/closing the client one more time, and if that doesn't work I'll contact them.

love how he just check ships 45bb effective on the flop with bottom set(terrible fkn play) and then he just binks anyways....fkn hating poker lately.
Pretty sure in a cash game that would have qualified for the bad beat bonus too

I assume you closed the client and logged back in? This happened to me once, and I had to e-mail support and they somehow did some type of reset. I signed back in, had to click download again, and then it worked.

Does anyone frequently play the nightly $30k? I swear I play absolutely ****ty in this event. The 3k starting stack really throws me off and I feel like I get super short within the first 5 levels. Does anyone have any advice/decent strategy on playing it?

or dont play it if you don't like the structure

yes the tournament has a faster structure in the beginning/early stages and then slows down as it progresses....it almost plays like a turbo in the first 2-3 hours.

this is not a strategy thread, but I would advise you to change your game up in response to this information.

it's structured awfully but in a fashion that makes sense when you think of what the tournament's overall purpose is

lots of micro players satty into this/recs who don't really know tournaments play it because it's the biggest daily guarantee (and that sexy orange lettering)--these guys don't want a ridiculously long tourney with lots of deep stacked play (even though i'm sure some think they do)

It wouldn't on Bovada or pretty much anywhere else.

"There's nothing worse than a poker bad beat. If you have a full house with Aces full of Kings or better and you lose to 4 of a Kind or better, you're winning with this poker promotion. Get a bonus of 100 times the big blind up to $1,000. Way to lose, and win!"

Didn't realize it had to be aces full of kings, that makes sense though because I lost aces full to quad kings (so obviously I had aces full of kings). Only reason I knew it was a bad beat bonus was the guy was nice enough to tell me in chat to send in the hand number, ended up breaking even on the hand.

Yeah I've had that happen to me a few times, 4 tables running but only one or two will disconnect.
