I've spent an hour searching and reading through this thread to try and find specific visa gift cards that work and where I can buy them but I couldn't find the info.

Can someone please pm me with this info? Thanks.

My guess is that it's affiliated with some website called "Playing Poker USA".

Blackjack is probably the closest to neutral EV played optimally. I've heard mention that Pontoon has a similarly small edge.

There's 3 games that fall particularly nicely into this:

BJ - (99.5% payback - 0.5% house edge) Sort of the standard playthrough game. The trick is to play *small* to get through the playthrough with anything left over. It's easy to bomb out trying to roll through.
Pai Gow Poker - (97.27% payback - 2.73 house edge) This has a much higher edge than BJ or video poker, but the upside is that it's much less volatile. 41% of all hands push.
JoB video poker - 99.54% payback, but very, very volatile. Also requires a much greater knowledge of the game compared to BJ/PGP to get the theoretical payback. May not make sense for a playthrough.

Has anyone else still not received their $10 Casino Chip? I got the Tourney Ticket and the $10 sports bet, but didn't get the code for my casino chip (checked my spam folder as well).

I've e-mailed them twice since this weekend and haven't gotten a reply other than the standard e-mail you get as soon as they receive your message. I'm really surprised since I've never waited more than 2 hours for a reply, now they've ignored 2 emails.

Support emailed me saying I needed to call them to get my Casino code. I haven't called to get the code yet as the playthru requirement is pretty high. Not sure if it is worth the effort.

Assuming this has been asked before so feel free to flame me if you feel the need. Is my understanding correct that bovada is ONLY open to USA players and bodog is open to everyone else? Also is bovada poker room separate from bodog or they both combined? This has confused me if there are separate rooms or not.

Was scoping the MTTs last night as I haven't logged on in months, and to my surprise was quite pleased. Their $55 $10K got up to $14K, their $6K to $8K, etc. This mixed with faster cashout time frames is great for US facing players unlike Merge imo where you won't see your money for months on end (and lock) Surprised more US players don't play there, but I'd suggest that's do to no RB, promos, reloads, etc.

Hows the Sunday $100K, does it have overlay or it exceeds the PP? Might throw some on and start playing MTTs (even though I'm not happy with their 4.9% CC Fee for deposits) but then again, Bovada appeals to the recreational poker player, not the grinder.

Can't deposit onto Bodog from my two visa credit cards?! Wtf...

How else can us dirty law-breaking Americans get money onto here? Do visa-enabled gift cards work?

I assume this question has been asked (and answered) before, but is there software that will track my results?

I know Holdem Indicator works but it seems to do more than just track my hands so I am a bit hesitant to use it.

MTT schedule on Bovada is honestly pretty solid. I played a ton saturday and sunday this week. They recently added some bigger games to their weekend schedule including a $75 8k and I think a $55 5k and a $33 3k. They also have a special $109 15k turbo DS on sunday nights. The big 100k today I think had about 10k overlay. The payouts have been really quick lately...10 business days is what they quote and seems accurate. I play the daily evening MTT schedule usually and normally can't do the Saturday/Sunday much. On a basic day after about 6 pm you have the $44 6k DS and then the 10k $60, then an hour or so later you have the $44 5k superstack turbo, then at 11 pm you have the $33 5k turbo DS and a midnight $22 superturbo 2.5k. This site is pretty chill...people are looking to gamble. I can't believe how easy the playing fields are in the tournaments. The cash games are not as easy above $100 NL but that's pretty standard on any site...but you will find some gamblers at $2/4 and up if you look. As far as deposits, yeah the 4.9% fee you pay up front for CC kinda sucks but what I do is just deposit smaller and if I lose, just re-deposit. I also would rather pay a fee upon deposit than face some weird fee upon withdrawal. They have free checks up to $3k and a bank wire option with a $50 fee up to 5k...have seen sites charge $150 for a 5k wire so seems fine...note that the fees are a bit more for Moneygram type stuff but that's because those companies charge higher rates so the businesses that use them are basically forced to charge high.

sometimes depositing from the actual poker software doesn't work while depositing using Visa on their actual site (bovada.lv) will work. Note that foreign transactions are sometimes blocked by banks for what is deemed as "fraud prevention". You may need to call your bank and say "transfer me to fraud" and then say "I authorized those transactions; please unlock my cards." This happened to me a couple of times but not a big deal....standard stuff.

I have never actually been unable to deposit using Visa...you just have to figure out what the problem is if it isn't working...you can call their support line for deposit help also.
