Why is Bovada not allowed in Canada? It is in the U.S. Makes no sense when you think of it. ?????

Bovada is for US players only after the original Bodog brand left the US market, all Canadians can still play on Bodog and all the skins also share the traffic within the network.

Is anyone having problems with the sound? Bovada only makes sounds every now and then (with chips or alerts). It doesn't do it every time anymore for me. I play heads up primarily, and I usually sit down first. So, being able to hear when someone comes to a table I'm at so I can post my BB is pretty important.

Anyone know if there is something I can do to fix it, or is it just a problem with Bovada's most recent update or something?

wondering what folks thought of the blackjack game at Bovada? I've read some reviews online, and it seems that maybe it's a little "biased"? I've played on the actual website as well as through the poker client... IMO it seems that the client runs much tighter as compared to the website... thoughts? I've been playing BJ at Carbon Poker for a little while, and it seems I run much (too much?) better there compared to Bovada

Regarding Western Union, does anyone know (or have personal experience) with issues depositing with Western Union from the US? I thought I read somewhere about someone running into issues with receiving payouts from WU (as in WU said they will not process money sent for a person anymore). I was curious as to whether this could (or has) happen for someone sending money for a deposit?

Few questions from the community- any feedback much appreciated. Is Bovada rake beatable at low limits? I heard it is higher than other sites and no RB. Are tournament tables also anonymous? Every time I open a new account somewhere I always go through the process of having to find the best deal around - obviously this is a moot issue on Bovada. good.

So, if I am looking to open an account today I an just deposit via Western Union or MG or something? And I can withdraw in the same manner? Have payouts via checks been working well, i.e. no bouncing, on time, etc.

I am trying to stay as far away from Revolution and even Merge as I am just hearing too much bull**** going on. I don't mind playing without rakeback and a good VIP program if it means I will actually get my money when I want it and I don't have to pay 20%+ vig to get it right away.

From reading the Bovada cashout thread, it seems checks are being processed and arriving in about 3 weeks. Damn good for today's poker market. Mostly arrives via fedex, which requires signature but they will leave a note which you can sign and tell them to drop it if you are not home.

I just signed up yesterday for Bovada and their website flaunts a 100% deposit bonus up to $1000. I deposited $100 and don't see anywhere that lets me know the progress of unlocking the bonus. I only have 30 points, so will I automatically see the first $10 unlocked when I get to 50 points? Figured I'd be able to see somewhere in the cashier window the bonus I am working on.

Christians4cards, go to the Bovada website for a full breakdown of points needed to clear the bonus. Just click on the bonus in the poker section and then "how it works" or something like that. I think it was 750 points to clear $100
