lol, fish still going be playing one table neither way, it doesnt matter, i only play 4 tables, and i start lots of empty tables, it would be ok if they limit the tables to 6, BUT LET US VIEW AS MANY TABLE AS WE WANT!

one table you serious? surely it more +ev for the site to let players play as many as they want, i dont understand why they would limit the amount of tables? they should take a leaf out of pokerstars book and make all tables a fast table.

I played on 888 a long time ago so i guess i cant get a bonus.
Really hate to play without rakeback/bonus.

Any money to be made from other rewards?

I've never tried it, but I think you can play 4 tables on PKR if you switch off the 3D function, and that site is said to be soft.

any plans by 888 to reduce 6max rake from 4$ to industry standard 3$?

along with the longterm vip system and the 6 table restriction (meaning u cant get to higher tiers fast) its just pure rip off imo

Does all skins share the same playerbase?

What skin should i stay away from?

This site doesn't care at all about regs. Forget about them making it easier for us in any way.

All skins have the same player base.

888 if obviously the most safest one, WSOP and luckyace skins are probably the only other two I would look into

Yeah, the rake is ridiculous, and on top of that, they don't even give a proper rakeback. I hate to see that I'm losing 1 buy in every 10th or 11th sng, because of the 8-10% rake.
Other rooms on Merge for example also have 6-8% rake, but at least they give 35% straight rakeback.
Fixed limit cash rake is also horrible. When I play against one player, about 10 big bets goes to the site after 30-40 hands. Unbeatable.
Maybe I will go back to Merge but I hate their sng blind structure, so can't decide. 888 is such a greedy room, even with this "free"roll promo, they make people believe that they giving away $10k every day. Yeah, but they are forcing players to pay about $10 in rake to get tickets. With let's say 2000 entrants, that's already $20k taken from the "free"roll players.

I agree that the rakes for the SnG's are simply ridiculous.

But in your opinion is 888poker a good site to play cash games? Knowing that I don't play more than 6 tables, I'm only talking about the win/rake ratio.

Thanks

I thought about moving to Titan Poker. Is it a good move or Titan has controversial rakes too?

Thanks for your help!

Yes.
At the lowest levels, winrates are so much higher than on rival networks, it's ridiculous. (6NL on 888 plays like 2NL on Pokerstars, and at 2NL it's absolutely standard for regs/nits to have winrates of 15bb/100 or more).

This is the deal with 888:

It's soft. Has a lot of rec players which is obv good.

That's literally the only positive.

The downsides are:
  • Software bugs that have been in place for over 2 years which have never been fixed despite promises that they are going to fix them.
  • Multiple server crashes each week
  • Server restarts (with warning) during peak time in Europe. A recent one was around 12am UK time on a saturday night.
  • $4 rake cap ($3 everywhere else)
  • 6 table cap
  • A vip system where it is impossible to reach the highest tier with this new cap and was close to impossible even with the 8 table cap previously
  • There are multiple instances of them outright stealing players bankrolls. You can search on here for them.
  • They refuse to do anything about table camping at higher stakes despite me bringing it to their attention on multiple occasions. Infact they don't even understand what table camping is and told me that they are strictly against "collusion". Collusion? Orly?
  • Higher than industry standard currency exchange fees when depositing and withdrawing if your account isn't in the same currency as your account at 888. Again just outright theft.

So yeah I guess you just have to make your mind up if you can put up with all the bull****.

Usually it's 5 regs and one empty seat. When a fish sits they all snap sit in and start playing creating a really hostile environment. Just a matter of time before it filters down the stakes unless they do something.

On stars it's in their t&c's that you can't do this. They don't police it but will react to any emails pointing it out to them. 888 just think they are all colluding with each other lol.

yeh the site is ridic soft, but with the new 6 table cap and the 0% rakeback it makes it impossible to win for a decent clip, i think the jackpot tables have a rake of 24/100, which are only tables that have decent traffic above 50nl.

I have hear good things about betfair, anyone played there?

i always thought it was my internet that was playing up, but every Saturday night like clock work the site freezes up.

It's not about whether or not they play each other. Nobody expects the 6 players in this instance to do battle with each other. I wouldn't be sitting at this table and playing them either.

The problem is that while some fish are horrible at poker that doesn't mean they are not intelligent. They can see what happens when they sit in and the other 5 regs start playing each other then when he sits out for a break or because he went bust all the regs sit out again. It just looks horrible and I cringe every time I see it.

It's likely a long term loss being cast aside for short term gain.

Watch the table, snap sit in when the fish sits in an empty seat and play 10 or 20 hands when he busts before he leaves the table. There isn't that great an edge difference that means you would get owned in 20 hands.

yeh i agree, the fish are more likely to rebuy but instead probably feels embarrassed about about how much they suck and not likely to return because they didnt have there 5minutes of gambolllll fun.

This obviously isnt good for the game, but 888 making it tougher for the regs to play on the site isnt good for the game either, it will force people to do this kind of crap just to win . I have tried to contact 888 about the new table cap and i haven't yet had a response, all they care about is the deposits made.
