sent email to support before seeing this thread. guess i'll give them a chance to get my rake but if this robbery is standard, our business won't last long

But I was gonna deposit just $25, was told putting $35 would get me a $5 bonus so I bit the bullet and did that.

But it was an actual bonus, not a "gotta play through 10x that in rake" fake-bonus like @ Party. So no complaints, other than acknowledging the high Weirdness Level of the way the chat went (similar to above post).

But if it was for a couple grand I think I woulda been more cautious, I mean how do we the players know exactly how much the "woman" on the other side can see or has access to as we do the deposit? I admit I kinda felt ... vulnerable ... and that was just for $35!

Just checking, I'm Gold vip level and unlikely to ever get any higher. Am I best of just cashing in my reward points every month or whatever? No reason to save them up?

No reason to save them up even if you expect to move up. The reward point multiplier is applied when the points are earned, not when cashed.

Compared to stars and party, it's really difficult for me to see when and where it's my turn even though I use the sound notification to alert when it's my turn.

what settings do you use for this?

also, 3 days since i emailed about the exchange rates to support and no answer yet (my first email as a new customer who just opened the account and deposited for the first time)

guess they really don't want my rake

Just read their terms and number 4 states that your documents need to be authenticated by an appropriately qualified Notary/Solicitor and dated, signed and stamped as proof of legitimacy. like wtf?

Just wondering have others had to do this to deposit or withdraw money?

Their terms below

(i) Photographic ID: A copy of a current photographic ID is required for your withdrawal request. This photographic ID can be in the form of a Passport, Driver’s License or National ID card. Specifically it is the photograph page of the ID card that we need to verify. Please ensure that all of the details on the document are clearly visible.

(ii) Credit/Debit Cards: A copy of the front and back of any credit/debit card(s) used to fund your account. Please ensure that all details are clearly legible to enable prompt and accurate verification. For security purposes, please block the middle eight numbers on the front of the card, and the 3 digit security code on the back of the card copy.

(iii) Proof of address: This may be submitted in the form of a utility bill or credit card statement. It should be a recent document, showing your full name at the address registered on your account. If you provide a credit card statement please ensure that you blank out the middle eight numbers of the credit card number.

(iv) Notarized documentation. Your documents will need to be authenticated by an appropriately qualified Notary/Solicitor and dated, signed and stamped as proof of legitimacy.

This doesn't mean that in all cases you need to provide notarized documents. I would imagine it's only very rarely required.

"Note: In some cases, depending on the payment method used to fund your account, you may be asked for one or a combination of the aforementioned documents, or additional documents not included in the list above."

Edit:

In fact reading down a little further:

Withdrawal Limit per Month Level of Authentication Details
$0 - $5,000 0 - Basic authentication required. Certain documents such as copy of your ID or copies of bank statements or Credit card copies may be requested.
$5,001 - $30,000 1 - Enhanced authentication required. A combination of the above mentioned documents will be required.
$30,001 - $50,000 2 - Signed & notarized original documents required. The amount of $50,000 has been determined according to international laws pertaining to money laundering.
$50,000 Absolute withdrawal limit per month. Member withdrawal amounts totaling above $50,000 during a one month period will be transferred to the following month. Special cases will be considered by the management.

you are not required to present ALL of these document afaik, they will ask you for each one. I've never heared of anyone asked for a notarized documentation, must be sthing that high stakes regs are required to send but that's just a guess.

I heard there is a charge on deposits on 888. is this true? how much if so?
[888poker] (ROW) Official Players' Thread Quote

There is no charge if you deposit in the currency that your account is in.

For example, if your Netller is in USD, you want to make sure that your 888 account is also in USD.

If your NT is in USD and your 888 account is in £££ then you are gonna get raped on currency fx.

Contact support and they can change your account currency.

Playing the $5r to the Sunday Mega Deep today and i was busted during rebuy period while it was going to be my BB. I was sat out while waiting to rebuy and then resumed one hand later in the SB.

This seems terrible to have. I should of been allowed to rebuy before game resumed or i should of been sat out until the button passed. The first scenario definitely > the second.

MY husband ( who is housebound ) and I have just had our accounts disabled! They have asked for our passports and credit cards back and front!! How dangerous is that???? They also wanted bank details etc. NO way do I give out such sensitive info on the net. I have sent identification papers and drivers licence, I have a horrible feeling this is a con and someone is after identity theft and credit cardfraud. E mails have been going back and forth and I still have not been reinstated OR told what the security check was that I have failed!! I have never failed a security check in my life. Its been 4 days now and still no answers except keep asking for my sensitive details, I have been ith 888 since 2005!

Well, at least it's obvious why they locked your accounts.

Assuming you're legit and not multiaccounting, I hope you get it sorted soon. But if you've had that many people playing from your home, you should expect this will take a little time for them to get sorted.

I'm not sure what made you choose this 2 year old thread to post in; I'm going to move your posts and mine to the current 888 support thread.

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that Super XL Series is back tonight with an opening event of $200k GTD. Mega Deep also has an enlarged 150k prizepool that I think may get an overlay.

I started recently to play at 888 and i have some questions.

1.Is there a way to stop lobby to minimize when i open a table?
2.Can i use sb and not bb to increase my bet sizing ?
3.Is there a way to prevent stealing focus when i'm writing a note in hm ?
4.I was marking some players in the hud by clicking the note icon using hm2 ,but they are not updated in table scanner. It's a common issue?
5.Do they still offer reload bonuses?I need to contact them or they will reach to me when they feel i deserve one?

Thanks guys and gl at the tables.

@888Rep

Any chance you guys make a option to untick Heads Up Super Turbo in the Edit view section? As you have the option to untick others but not Heads Up Super Turbo for those that don't play them

Thanks
