They should offer a no-deposit bonus for first time users to win people over.

Too bad their financials are in shambles, or else I'd be buying heavy into this stock.

Too bad they will play on PartyPoker network/software, which has lots of problems lately.
Still good for poker

Their financials are fine, they just need to turn a profit. They are only going to lose like $10 million on several hundred million in revenue this quarter. If you think real money poker will boost their revenue just 10%, that means they have a profit of tens of millions instead of a loss. Which means the stock goes from ~$2.50 to probably $8-10. #freemoney

Full disclosure: I am long ZNGA for more than the net worth of 95% of NVGers

Will try this out up to 200nl and let NVG know if its like playing on Planet Poker in 1998

So it's confirmed they're using Party software?
I take it it's not a true party 'skin' that will have a shared pool with other skins?
And is it a full-blown real-money site? The repeated reference to "cash prizes" in that press release made me wonder whether it's standard real-money play...or some sort of play chips with cash prizes for tourney wins or whatever...is this a full-out real-money cash site?

It's a Party skin, just like WPT. Shared player pool etc.

They've issued press releases about this, gotta run or I'd find you a link.

I put the over/under on 6 months before this closes. A skin of a site that can barely keep their flashship site/client operational - and often they can't even do that.

Zynga is looking for a miracle from this and bwin Party was likely able to cash in on that fantasy. There's clearly a lot of room in online poker for a site come in and do something outside the box, but this is pretty much the exact opposite of that.

My average cost is $2.89. Still in the hole but only a little.

I bought my first shares at $14.00 but have since bought a ton on the way down (chasing losses ftw).

Been waiting on this for awhile.

My money is still on them being a small to medium sized skin within Party, as it's just UK players that play on Zynga and weren't aware (or didn't care enough to play) of the 100% legal option of playing on sites like Party, Ipoker or many others for the last 5+ years. I doubt that # of players with money to burn is breathtaking, so I expect this to be a small bump in traffic, with the potential upside of medium bump (if they're dumping tons of money into promoting it and the brand name carries strong).

Shares currently at $2.56. I think it's definitely something to keep an eye on.

Yeah but the fact is that in current enviroment every fish creates like 3+ seats on a site (cause the whole games run around them). So even if they are a small skin their impact on the whole network might be significantly bigger.

They do talk about having cash buy-in tourneys so I'm guessing full blown.

I bet they'd get inundated with messages from Americans asking them to open up something here.

I own it at $5/share. I had almost written it off as a complete loss.

For those giving stock tips, its worth knowing that zyngapluspoker.co.uk has been live since December. So I think the market has fully adjusted to Zynga's real money aspirations; there's nothing new here.
