When El Dorado fully acquires Caesars, Will the WSOP be owned by El Dorado, or will Caesars continue to control the ownership of this specific event?

Not sure exactly what you are asking. When the merger is complete, Eldorado and Caesars will be the same entity. They will be working under the Caesars brand name but all of the top executives will be from Eldorado.

Caesars sells Rio casino-hotel to real estate company for $516 million

"A company controlled by a principal of the firm Imperial Companies will buy the casino-hotel property off the Las Vegas Strip, while Caesars will continue to operate it for at least two years and pay $45 million in annual rent.

Rio would still be part of the Caesars rewards program under the deal, according to the announcement, and the World Series of Poker will stay at the hotel for 2020. However, Caesars will retain ownership of the World Series of Poker under the agreement."

Rio has been sold to a real estate investment group. Caesars will still run it under a two year agreement and have options after that.

The WSOP will remain there during that time

I heard its gonna be at slots-a-fun this year because of all the lower buy in events. Lotta pros butt hurt about having to play a $25+$5+$5 dealer add on to gain POY points and chase that bracelet.

I don't see a reason why WSOP moves as long as Caesars has the lease at Rio. It is setup for WSOP and the new convention center isn't a gaming property.

It might be dumb, but parking will just always be my main concern when it comes to WSOP. I think its crucial for numbers and convenience, and unless I know it wont be a huge clusterfk at some other venue, Im comforted playing at the Rio

Convention Center makes sense tho
