So how did he get bit in the A$$? He got 45th out of 6844. He made two final tables at the WSOP also. Explain your nonsensical statement.

Accumulating $10 million in tournament earnings without a $1 million cash requires much more skill than doing it by winning one or two big tournaments IMO.

Here's a hand from yesterday where his AK beat KQ.

...late in the day, I have 3M. Fat middle-aged guy from GA with like 1.5M opens to 80K at 12/24/3, I flat with AKo, everyone else folds. Flop Q44 he bets 125K I call. Turn A he bets 300K I call. River blank he bets 500K I tank. He doesn't seem like the type to triple barrel bluff, and I can't imagine I beat anything he's value betting. I'm afraid he has AQ. I tank some more and try to talk to him.

"Aren't you afraid I have a 4? Did that cross your mind?" No response.

"I wish I knew more about you sir. All I know is you are from Georgia." No response.

Finally I call, he tables KQ. I show AK, and he mucks angrily and asks, "How do you call the flop when I fire?"

I ignore him.

"You call with nothing on the flop?" he asks again.

"Sorry sir, but you wouldn't answer any of my questions," I tell him as I stack his chips.

I'm second overall, with 79 remaining. $77,000 locked up.

Foucault is too sick.

Phil Hellmuth Eliminated in 45th Place ($154,400)

Phil Hellmuth was under the gun and pushed his entire stack of 405,000 into the middle. Action folded to Andrew Rosskamm who made the call. The crowd instantly got on their feet and after the other players folded, the players showed:

Hellmuth: {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}
Rosskamm: {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts}

Hellmuth looked over to his wife and said "Honey I'm all in in!" The audience cheered for various flops and Hellmuth turned his back to the action. The dealer put out the flop and the crowd remained relatively silent as it fell {K-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {3-Hearts}. Rosskamm's jacks still led, and with the crowd firmly on Hellmuth's side, it was still very quiet.

After a dramatic pause, the {10-Hearts} hit the turn. This card gave Hellmuth the nut flush draw as well as an inside straight draw to go with his overcards.

With everyone standing and anticipation at it's peak, the {2-Spades} hit the river which was no help to Hellmuth. Rosskam's entourage celebrated, though it was barely audible amongst the dissapointment of Hellmuth's supporters.

Phil Hellmuth was eliminated in 45th Place and added $154,400 to his career earnings.

Karma will obviously get him in his next life, when he will be reborn as a toad.

Tiffany takes a pot from Demidov and another player...back to 5.8 million and 5th place

About 5 minutes to play in level...

Demidov then falls another 600K and out of top 5

Cantu down to 6.8 million as well

Did anyone notice how Phil was able to postpone his bust out until the next payout level. Het gets $154K instead of the $135K he'd get if he busted out one position earlier.

For an incredible short stack, he pulls out a relative victory.

Raptor is not happy with Brandon Cantu. Pretty epic bustout blog post.

Busting out this late in the main event must suck so bad because you know that opportunity won't come along too many times.

Jesus guys congrats on ruining a great thread. JBS was doing great updates until you all starting debating PH etc etc. Now to get to the info that this thread was created for, we have to trawl through pages and pages of worthless posts condemning PH from some no-mark internet dudes.

Im out.

Hellmuth's tournament earnings aren't measured profits - losses. Anyone can get ten million in prize money if they play enough tournaments. Doesn't mean there'll have even made a profit.
