Pretty sure it was one of 10400, 14000, 10000 etc instead of 104000.

Blinds 500/1000 100 ante

Alex Outhred opened the pot with a raise from the button, making it 3,500 to play. In the small blind, Tony Antonious re-raised to 6,500, and Outhred called.

The flop came down 6h 7s 10c. Antonious led out with another 6,500 chips, and Outhred raised it up to 26,500. Antonious pushed back hard, moving all in for 66,500. Outhred made the call, having his man covered, & Antonious confidently tabled 8d 8h. Despite his display, he was well behind the 6c 7c of Outhred.

The turn and river came Kc and Js respectively, and Antonious' Main Event is done.

After the hand, table mate Tiffany Michelle muttered, "Justice," in reference to a bad beat he had run on her earlier in the day. Outhred comes out the big winner in this spot, and he has chipped all the way up to 329,000.

Bernard Lee has also just been eliminated. I must have missed Esfandiari and Mortensen being eliminated earlier as well.

Also...

Sklansky under 16K, Joe Hachem down to 32K, Ryan Daut to 38K, Tiffany Michele once down to 10K...back up to 43K.

Better check BBV later....

A player raised to 3,000, Andrew "Good2CU" Robl pushed all in with his last 10,600, and he was called. Robl showed Kd 10c, and he was racing against his opponent's pocket sixes.

The board came 3c 4c As 2h 2c, and Robl was eliminated. It was nonetheless a good WSOP for Robl, highlighted by his third place showing in Event No. 4, the $5,000 Mixed Hold'em event.

75 mins. left in this level...

FINAL WSOP TOURNEY NUMBERS ARE IN!!!! WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW

There are some interesting details surrounding this year's World Series of Poker now that the final numbers are in.

First and foremost, the 2008 WSOP is now officially the largest and richest series in the history of poker. That record is underscored by a number of individual bests for this year. Firstly, through the 55 events, we have seen a total field of 58,720 entrants, which represents an 8% increase over last year. Included in that is the incredible turnout for Event #2. That $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event drew 3,929 runners -- the largest field ever for a preliminary event.

The growth of the individual events has resulted in a big swell in the money up for grabs as well. This year's events gave away a total prizepool of $180,676,248, an increase of more than $20,000,000 from last year.

Additionally, it is becoming increasingly clear that poker is an international game, as evidenced by the trend in recent years. Players from 118 different countries came to Las Vegas this year to participate, which is up from 87 last year -- a 36% increase. To put that in perspective, 2004's WSOP was represented by just 24 countries. So far, 57 of those 118 countries have had their players tally a cash finish at least once. What's more, players from every U.S. state and Canadian province have been paid out somewhere along the line.

Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack commented on the international progress of our game: "The results this year demonstrate the increasing global appeal of our events and the universal recognition that winning a World Series of Poker gold bracelet is poker's ultimate achievement."

With 54 events in the books already, we still have one more of those coveted gold bracelets to give away. This one will be good enough for the second largest payout in poker history: $9,119,517. Not a record, but an impressive number, nonetheless.

Looks like another memorable Hellmuth moment for ESPN...blinds 500/1000 100 ante

We picked up a hand with everybody's favorite whipping boy, Phil Hellmuth, on the flop. The board showed 10h As 9c, and the under-the-gun player led out for 5,200. He was called by Hellmuth before a third player in the hand, Tony Clark, raised to 16,000. Clark's raise folded the under-the-gun player and brought the action back to Hellmuth. He called, then checked the turn. Clark immediately moved all in for about 29,000. That sent Hellmuth into the tank, where he started talking to his opponent.

"If you have ace-queen, you're dead," said Hellmuth. There was no response.

"Buddy, what are you doing?" Hellmuth asked. He then asked Clark whether or not he was overplaying ace-queen.

After several minutes, Hellmuth still hadn't acted. One of the players at the table called for a clock, and a floor was summoned to the table. Hellmuth seemed surprised, and asked who called for the clock.

"I did," said Ramzi Jelassi, a player who has engaged in several verbal sparring matches with Hellmuth today. When Hellmuth asked how long he'd been thinking, Ramzi told him it was four minutes. Hellmuth seemed to think, based on that response, that it was fair that a clock had been called.

As the floor counted him down, Hellmuth finally made the call, slamming his chips into the middle. Clark turned over 10d 10s for a set of tens, far ahead of Hellmuth's Ad Kc. The river bricked out 2c, allowing Clark to double up at Hellmuth's expense.

"You probably won't make it 'til the end of the day," said Hellmuth. He then got out of his chair and went to talk to his wife on the rail.

That hand seemed to light a fire under Hellmuth. He started playing every hand. First, after Mark Vengrin raised from late position to 3,000, Hellmuth raised all in. Vengrin called with Ad Kd and was a dominating favorite over Hellmuth's Ac Qs. The board ran out Qc Jd 8c 4h Qh to make trip queens for Hellmuth and send Velgrin to the rail.

We stepped away from the table for two minutes, only to come back and see him involved in the very next pot, on the river. Hellmuth bet 20,000 into a 20,000-chip pot with the board showing 5d 10c Qc 9d Qh. Ryan Hughes made the call; Hellmuth very confidently slammed his Qd Qh down on the table and proclaimed, "Nuts!"

Hellmuth played one more hand immediately thereafter, getting a player to call a raise to 9,000 on the turn (after that player bet 4,000) and a bet of 10,000 on the river. Hellmuth showed Qd Qh, an overpair to the board. His opponent mucked.

After all of that, Hellmuth's stack is at 143,000. He still seems to be muttering to himself about the Clark hand, but we did hear him say, "None of that matters now." We'll see if he actually believes it.

David Oppenheim, Phil Laak, Dan Shak, Aaron Kanter, Brad Booth, David Sklansky, & Joe Hachem all eliminated! No word if Laak is heading to Bellagio to play 10/20 this evening!

"Hollywood" Dave Stann (Mini Hellmuth tilts me) has choice words for Elky after Stann is bluffed out of best hand...muttering something about reckless play not being good for overall tournament health. Yet Elky has him outchipped 3 to 1...hmmm?

Hellmuth busts another player hitting a king on turn and ace on river to give him a better 2 pair and is now up to 218K.

Victor Ramdin climbs to 255K

************************************************** **************

And this one I hope got caught on camera...

Bryan Micon, after being moved to the blue section, took his seat at table 18 and sat down. An excited Micon, without really glancing at the players at his new table said something along the lines of...

"Hello gentleman...once you double me up, you're in trouble."

He then proceeded to look around the table and after spotting Shawn Sheikhan and Johnny Chan, seemed to realize the company he was in. He made an exaggerated "gulp" expression as if to illustrate he may have spoken too soon, and then quickly quieted down.

Final break coming up along with some updated chip counts and numbers....

Leaderboard change!!!

Some time ago we reported a hand in which Mohamad Kowssarie hit a one-outer to make a straight flush and eliminate an opponent. He remained quite active following that hand, and hit a rough patch where he lost several pots in a row. He'd slipped down to about 200,000 when the following hand took place.

Raja Kattamuri raised to 3,500 from the cutoff, and Kowssarie reraised to 10,000 from the small blind. Kattamuri called.

The flop came 4d Jc Kd. Kowssarie bet 17,000, Kattamuri raised to 50,000, Kowssarie pushed all in for 180,000, and Kattamuri, who barely had Kowssari covered, made the call.

Kowssarie showed Ah As, and Kattamuri showed Kc Ks. Suddenly, after being among the chip leaders during most of the level, Kowssarie was in rough shape.

The turn was the 5h and the river is a 5s, and just like that Kowssarie is out!

Kattamuri now sits at the top of the leaderboard with 410,000.
