Also the payouts seem to move so slow at this phase. Huge incentive to build a big stack and little incentive to hang on.

The guy with 44 had position on Craft and can play post flop against him and really take advantage of his unorthodox style. Getting 50 bigs in pre with 44 against him seems like a bad gamble in the main.

Ben Lamb won 2011 POTY and then just stopped playing tourneys. He's not Ivey, Negreanu or Hellmuth...but he's a legit big name. He played in the Big One for One Drop and other high rollers. An all star caliber player.

Saout should have been the ME Champ in 2009. Bossed a FT that included Phil Ivey. Went from shortstack to chiplead and was about to get HU vs Moon when Cada sucked out hit 2 outer for massive pot.
Saout currently has 8.5 million and has been a top 10 count for like 2 days now.

Those are the 4 "big" names/stories left. You also have Charlie Carrel and Marcel Luske as fun pros who are fairly well known. And two Asian girls are still alive. But if none of these 8 make the FT then it will probably be somewhat of a letdown. Unless there's another Mickey Craft somewhere in the field.

If all those big names bust I'm hoping there are some entertaining unknowns who we haven't seen on TV yet. I feel like Salas has potential to be an interesting guy to have late in the event. Also the Indian guy who 4 bet with 4/3 could be interesting (I forget his name).
The worst case scenario would be all unknowns who are boring and indistinguishable, kinda like the 2012 final table which was luckily saved by some epic 3 handed play.

Update: Looks like Byrraju busted in 102nd
