if you thought people were tense and on edge when it gets down to 27 or so.. I can only imagine how it would be if final 9 all got paid $2-3 mil if they got their and the rest got 0. The amount of tanking and yelling to the floor about things would be a great human experiment lol

As for Ferguson (and Lederer and Bitar), I could see the WSOP not caring because those guys effectively cheated at business, not playing poker. As I just stated, the WSOP won't attempt to adjudicate over people who "did bad things," only those who cheat in poker.

It's tough to know what the decisions will be. A few years back, someone high up at the WSOP decided to cover up the Russ Hamilton banner of past champions. He was never proven as a cheat, just highly, highly suspected. So I suppose anything is possible.

Yeah and that guy is literally crazy. He got thrown out of Foxwoods during a tournament series years ago because he was threatening dealers wanting to fight them. And he's not even tough. Like he is literally crazy.

He has no filter so I could only imagine him standing on the rail yelling repeatedly at Lococo until he had enough. Because that's what this Alik guy does. A total nut case.

I think if that Damian Salas who just won the Main Event got to the FT it'd be a pretty big ****ing deal. Kenny Tran I remember watching him years ago on the poker TV shows

They really need a Matusow, Ivey, Negreanu etc just SOME sort of poker celeb in the top 100 every year like they used to have 10 years or so ago. I guess poker has evolved BOO

Lococo making back-to-back final tables would be a fun story.

Marco Johnson is a name that anyone who sweats a lot of poker should recognize.

Antoine Labat finished 9th in 2018.

No A-listers or even B-listers left, but if you just want a good narrative then I guess Lococo is most compelling.

Realistically, it doesn't matter. Poker boom 2.0 isn't coming from this and nothing short of an Ivey/Hellmuth/Negreanu level name would move the needle much for casuals.

Then go watch one of the kajillion high roller events.

The whole point of this one is that it allows for Cinderella runs, and it's likely that many of these guys are great players even if we don't know them.

People like Raymer, Eastgate, Riess, and Cynn were not widely known before they won. All put on an entertaining show.

The biggest name and most interesting story is by miles Alejandro Lococo "Papo MC", he just made the final table last year and kinda punted in a massive chiplead pot, in the spanish speaking world battle rap is huge and he is like top 5 in history, he is also a twitch streamer and had tens of thousands of viewers at times, 3 million followers on instagram(more than the rest of the field combined probably)

That asian guy who called her with TT looks a hell of a player, his table talk with AcKx when he was bluffing was incredibly relaxed and good. Anyone know who he is?
