Agree with this. The absolute best day of the main event is 27 down to 9 but it gets really good from now. Yesterdays coverage was fantastic with every level covered and Zhang's absolute gangster poker. Rooting for Zhang, King Dan, "Sick Call" Kenny, Aldemir and the last remaining woman to all make the final.

Notice the coverage has been moved back a couple of hours today. Are we missing a level or has the start time been delayed?

Yeah we are never getting another boom like we had, that's in the past and the game has completely evolved now. A lot of the game has been solved and there's no going back. That said I think live poker was experiencing a small boom in itself before Covid and that has continued now post pandemic.

On the main event structure sheet the days are supposed to start at 11 AM PT and with the one hour delay PokerGo would normally start at 3 PM ET.

But they have been playing later the past 2 nights and starting later the next day.

So today, ME starts at 1 PM PT so the stream will start at 5 PM ET.

A few hands later the Q4s v A2o is really good imo. Particularly liked the way Dan asked him to talk before calling him on the river, think he had already decided to call but was trying to get a read on him to potentially use later down the line.

I literally despise the fact WSOP live stream footage is behind a paywall it’s bloody ridiculous, this needs to be on espn/YouTube/live-streamed online not on a subscription that only true die hard fans are going to pay - basically no clueless fish or people like my cousins/father in law/rich poker fish friends, all who love poker would be watching all who have money and the sub is meaningless, but cba sign up to a sub. If I sent a link on YouTube they’d all be watching and likely playing on the side. It’s a disgrace you have to pay £99 a year to watch something that would bring more people into the game and keep the flame alive inside of them to play, if it we’re free. Instead they end up not even knowing the wsop ME is even on and their love for the game dissipates.

This isn’t pay per view worthy, the game needs more people/new blood to survive. Watching the wsop is nostalgic and loads of old players and fans would watch it.

Love to see this. Grinding Orleans, South point tournaments and daily deep stacks. Probably means he doesn't have much of a backer either and is doing this largely on his own.

I don't know what the economics between WSOP and Pokergo looks like, but WSOP just dishing out all the money themself and throwing it on youtube+twitch may just make more money in rake generated over the years compared to selling the rights to pokergo. Hell if they put chat as subscriber only they'd maybe make more ***** money off of just that than pokergo does from wsop subs.
