Well, I heard that another carnival's come to town in YOUR State, complete with govtment approval and inspection of the clown cars they are riding in on! Who's in?"
fyp, you've conveniently left out the role the nanny state played in Stars exit from the US ....

Hope your happy with the govment-approved carnivals in YOUR state.

Not sure what USA casinos you see "making a killing". This sure as hell isn't the case in Atlantic City. Or underground rooms, which were everywhere in the Northeast between 5 and 10 years ago but now barely exist.

Understand that during the 2003-2004 boom, many of the people picking up the game from TV were between, let's say, 17 and 25. Now, a bit more than a decade later, these people have gone through the life stage that includes moving out, getting married, buying a home, having kids, and working serious full time hours. This group, which comprised a massive percentage of the player pool back then, now no longer has the time or interest, or money, to play anywhere. This was a demographical change that likely could've been foreseen, but wasn't. Not unlike how Facebook was huge on promoting hooking up for the late teens and early 20's crowd in '04-'06, but now consists 90% of 30-something couples posting baby updates and vacation photos.

1. Site with best software (Merge) takes 4-6months to pay you. Only recently they did get BTC withdrawals but not everybody has them and that still takes a week or 2.

2. Site with the fastest cashout WPN(ACR,BCP) has the worst software with 3-5hour late reg tournaments.

3. Site with fast cashouts and okay software but tables are anonymous not everybody likes this and offers no rakeback.

4. Not that many foreign players on the sites available to US players. If your a foreign player would you wanna play on any of these sites when you have Pokerstars, 888, and Party and a host of many other sites with much better software and has no real danger of being shutdown by the US government.
As a UK player if I could play on Bovada or any of these American sites I would snap play all them. Unfortunately (and seemingly for no good reason) Bovada is ring fenced to USA players only - not sure why because it's legal to play in the UK. Bodog was a great site back in the day y'know.

Bovada isn't ring fenced. Bovada is the skin for US players where as Bodog is the skin for other players.

Bovada/Bodog is mainly the pacific ocean countries sans South America and Australia (unsure about this). I don't think Euro countries are allowed in, but Asian countries through various skins and North America are in the same player pool but through different skins.

lol@why only 4 tables.

1)they're primarily a sportsbook and casino.

2) have you seen the games on merge or wpn.they should send you a noose to hang yourself if you play in those super slow nit fests.

It looks like we are going in the right direction. First US banned all poker. But now its starting to open up. more and more states allowing poker. I see no reason why US wouldnt join europe again. There must be a solution.

I played some poker on wpn when I was in America visiting my girlfriend. The site was a joke, much higher rake than industry standard and then they ran promotions where all the promotion money went straight to the biggest regs. And for all the rake I paid the support I got when trying to cash out was non-existant. Bit coin was easy once I worked it out but still a hassle compared to stars where they just pay me my monies to my bank account.

Well being in the UK I cant play from either - when I used to be able to play Bodog. If anyone wants to enlighten me that would be appreciated, if I can in fact play then thats just made my day. I somehow doubt this to be the case though.

No, you're right in that you can't play from the UK, but it's not "ring fenced to USA players only". TheStuntman's post has it about right.

My understanding of Bovada is that it's limited to the US, Canada, and a very few Asian countries - but certainly not all.

QFT. Every ****ing stake, even 2NL, is reg infested on WPN. As if jumping through hoops to get money on the site wasn't enough to drive away fish, the games themselves are awful.
