I've been arguing with my friend about this for a while. My point of view is this, for Doyle to be such a successful prop better over his life (golf, various other games) he has got to be an angle shooter. Nobody plays props straight up without an angle and is a long term winner. I think Doyle's nice guy attitude is somewhat of a facade that allows him to angle shoot without people realizing. The debate got even more heated after Doyle challenged Patrik to a golf match at 100k a hole. I'm sorry but I don't believe there is any way that Doyle could play this match without an angle and expect to be a winner (his AGE, WEIGHT, VARIOUS HEALTH ISSUES). My friend argued something along the lines of "absolutely Doyle will win he has a killer short game blah blah blah". Well look what Doyle posts in his blog today only a few weeks after issuing the challenge and having it accepted by Patrik.
"I went to the golf course was really disappointed. My leg is getting worse and worse and desperately needs an operation but I don't have the time to do it. So please don't call me a welcher, Patrik, but I have to amend my golf challenge. The tees have to be 'where Doyle sez' just like our poker match. I'll have to start up 100 yards or less each hole because I just can't turn on the ball. I have to hit it with my arms but hopefully my putter will bring me in. I am sure Patrik's nerves are much steadier than mine so this will probably suit him. "
(I'll give Doyle his due and post a link to the full blog if you would like to read it.)

Doyle is smart to realize that Patrik is enough a competitor that it is highly unlikely he backs away from the challenge now even after Doyle has set up this stipulation that clearly gives him a huge edge. So I say again, Doyle is the worlds biggest angle shooter and nobody appears to realize it.
Opinions?
