This thread is officially the nut low as it runs for 10 pages yet contains no mention at all of the fact that on dot com sites we have Russian and Ukrainian players sitting next to each other and presumably still sharing strat on some of the same forums, with this going back for years and years.

I have no idea of how this affects their view of the conflict going on in comparison with the views others in their age group but the increased contact with the other side presumably insulates them to some extent from at least the lowest level of propaganda demonizing the enemy nation that happens in wartime.

Poker is all about taking advantage of other players weaknesses and mistakes to make money. There is no such thing as a team in poker, in fact they are even outlawed and looked down upon. It's "survival of the fittest" and "everyman for himself" taken to extremes. Not exactly something that "brings us all together." Poker brings us together because I want your money and you want mine.
