OP is clearly wrong. Once Americans can deposit again, fast and legally, then frankly there will be FAR more fish in the games.

The US 2+2 community does not equal the entire US poker playing community as a whole.

Most US players are tards. Yes there are good US players, but the majority of US players are total bleeders.

Look at ptr top ranking countries as jspill and Droschopf pointed out, the US players contribute THE MOST money in all of online poker. It would be a GODSEND for ROW players. It would be even more of a GODSEND for the good US players if US players can only play vs other US players. But thats another story.

Decreasing winrates in poker and high cost of living in western countries is going to severely deter anyone from putting the effort in to be great players. I think US will bring in a ton of casuals with disposable income and not that many pros on a percentage basis.

Any wealthy country is and will continue to be a big net donator. The only countries that arent big donators have a low standard of living/limited career options for thier citizens, or are home of a lot of transplanted poker pros (ie thailand, malta, monaco)

Almost everyone misinterpreted my OP. Because almost every country is a NET loser a big country like the US of course will be good overall for the global poker economy.

My argument wasn't that all the US players will destroy everyone once allowed back into the games, rather that the REGS who went to Merge will go on a tear because they have had to survive in the toughest conditions possible. It will be like breeding an Apex predator in the Jurrasic period and then unleashing him on caged in sheep.

BEWARE EURO/ASIAN REGS, THE MERGE REGS ARE COMING.

My view is if US players are still playing online poker then they aren't very bright, hence i doubt them coming back would be too much of a problem .

The toughest conditions being horrible cashouts and threats from the DOJ to steal all the monies again.

Plenty of fish in the few games to choose from on Merge in my experience.

I think America has the two extremes in poker players.

On one hand, there's a lot of huge whales/fish from America because we're a rich nation (in before someone says we're broke...not getting into that debate, but we're not even close to broke) Lots of disposable income with people gambling it up. (Germany, Canada, France are other rich/developed countries that come to mind with large disposable incomes...so lots of fish from them too)

On the other hand, online poker was popular in America long before anywhere else. So a lot of guys (like myself) have been online grinders for a long time (9 years for me come June). And the longer you've played, in general, the better you are. Especially if you're like me playing over 1 million hands a year.

That means guys like me, that have lived through UIGEA, neteller freezing, black friday, WA state forcing me to move, etc. etc. are pretty damn good players that while I'm not the best player in the world, I've got strong staying/grinding power and I've survived a lot of adversity. A lot of the "barely winning" America players are now forced out. Some are forced out because of tougher games. Others are out because they can't overcome small adversities. (ex: barely breakeven player with no name lost everything on tilt, he can't get a stake because he doesn't have a name/history of being honest etc. Whereas a solid grinding winner that has a history of being ethical can easily get a stake)

What I'm trying to say, is the American player pool is extremely polarized right now. From strong regs that are grinding out a living, to fish that don't give a **** and just love the gambol. The middle ground on American sites is almost gone.

IMO if online poker is legalized in America, while we'll have the best regs, we'll also contribute a TON of fish to the pool. So it'll be a net positive overall for the breakeven mass tabling russian grinding fishregs (j/k j/k no racist ban please...making a cake joke).

I think any serious player would welcome the Americans back asap. That, in itself, speaks volumes.

Even if what you say about those games being so tough is true, the players will have to learn to adjust to games that include fish again, and their exploitative techniques will be way out of practice.

(X) Monaco has low standard of living according to NVGtard.

Lol, seriously, I play MTT sngs and some of the mixed games. Im playing ONLY to keep my game sharp and to prepare for playing small/midstakes mixed games this summer at the WSOP and maybe at Commerce for a bit.

I havent played ONE HAND of NLH cash in over a yr...so I have no idea about game conditions at Merge. OTOH, I have played a lot of Razz, Badugi(HPL), and a little of the 45 mans and small buying donkaments.

WITHOUT A DOUBT the games are harder than they were on PS and Tilt, and they are MUCH harder than a lot of off brand sites were(i.e. Cereus etc.).

Guys there are 15/30 regs from FTP playing 1/2 now in razz....how can you argue the games are easier there?

this thread is a reverse level made by a euro probably in an efforts to get people to react negatively to americans poker skills.

On the same token OP, do you believe other American drenched sites such as Cake or ACR also have a larger percentage of winning players compared to PS and FTP? Not trolling, just curious if you're only talking about Merge.
