So obviously when Phil made all of his big $ WSOP bracelet prop bets, he intentionally didn't specify that the WSOP Europe would count. Only after all his bets were made did he make it known that the a WSOP Europe bracelet counted towards the bet.

Thats the thing is WSOPE will only be like 5 events at most this year. I understand people are a little mad but they are still getting the WAYY best of it betting at 1.8 to 1 odds on him winning one. Especially since he is starting to realize it isnt as easy as he thought it was gonna be. I think he thought this was gonna be a cakewalk walking through the minefield that is the WSOP fields.

he is correct though. they are real WSOP bracelets. no argument to be had imo. if you listen to his wording of the bet on Pokerroad it's pretty clear.

Yeh the WSOPE bracelets definently count. But like I was saying all the bets against him are stil +EV even with Europe included. So I dont see why people are still mad that bet against him they still have the best of it by far.

if the dealer pulled out the rules of holdem and showed you that the board is supposed to be 6 cards you couldn't get too mad about it though right?

Agreed. Why would you need him to specify something like that for the bet when there's no difference between the bracelets handed out at the WSOP and the WSOPE. If the original bet intended that he win his bracelet during the WSOP then he probably would have stated that in the initial stages of the bet.

Ivey really seems to be manipulating the rules if he wants to include the WSOPE. Anyone who in the middle of a bet tries to bend the rules wouldn't be getting any future action from me.

One thing that people aren't bringing up, inclduing Phil, is that if he specified only "winning a bracelet this year", the WPT is also now giving bracelets to all its winners.

seriously why would you even take the time to be synical and just be a dick like rockforlight. I just dont understand these people. Why not just not go to the next post if you already know about the news in this post? Just cause you know what is going on in this post doesnt mean everyone does.
