UIGEA Question... UIGEA Question...

12-02-2008 , 01:39 PM
I haven't been checking on the status of this lately and was wondering if someone can give me a quick update. Are people having problems (more then before) depositing as of Dec 1st, or is that not until 2009 (Dec 1st)?

Has anyone who has actually made a deposit since yesterday (in the US) confirm if they had any more problems then usual? The last time I deposited on either Stars or Full Tilt was fairly easy using a Visa check card from Wells Fargo, but that was over a year ago so my frame of reference is really not accurate.

Basically, did anything really even happen? Or is it not really supposed to happen until Dec 2009? If this is something that has already been overly discussed please simply answer and lock.

Thanks!

The rules go into effect January 19, 2009. Banks are expected to enforce these rules by December 1, 2009.

Been on vacation: will the banks accept checks and withdraws or are they declining everything?

Thanks Kevmath! Exactly the info I was looking for!

And Josh, it was my understanding that withdrawals weren't going to be an issue. Only deposits. If I'm incorrect there, someone please correct me.

I dunno but I get sent checks that are [don't mention names] so I assume they would cash them.

They cashed my check a couple days ago. No blink, no wink, no "sorry, we can't take this".
