Didn't He lose most of that against PA, Lodden, and Caby under the Mahatma account though?
Taylor took alot of Prahlads money on UB, Kane also. Lodden and PA were on Prima i think. Prahlad and Taylor were on UB so much they were likely both victims.

Is there any known connection between Freddy Deeb and the -Fred- account besides the obvious similarity in screen names? It seems some of you guys are taking a pretty naive approach at incriminating Freddy when it should be pretty obvious that the -Fred- account does not belong to him. What is curious to me though is that brainwashdodo posted screen shots of user account info of everyone except the -Fred- account when in fact that's the one that is clearly the most suspicious. I would also like to see the transaction history of RussHamilton's account. The other posts that include the transfer histories of some of the other accounts seem pretty unimportant at this point.

This is all pretty compelling new info to me as I played a ton on UB in the biggest games from 05-06 and I know I played quite a bit with some of the newly added super user accounts.

Yes. Read post 48.

Edit: To be clear, just because people have gotten a transfer doesn't mean they're really implicated in anything, especially with names like KrazyKanuck on the list. No need for a witch hunt.

DA- see my last post in the Annie Duke thread where I said much of the same. I think people are making a leap without having facts right now on that part.

It certainly filters lots of payments- likely to remove Russ one degree, but I haven't seen anything that actually connects it to Freddy Deeb yet other than it makes a disbursement to freddy's account (just like it does to everyone else that way).

Even so, the -Fred- account is connected to kid55 (generally accepted to be Freddy) through a transfer.

Here's the thing though:
The ball started rolling when somebody was looking through their database and found the irregularities of some guy winning WAY more than he should have. The general assumption was that such stuff probably couldn't go on for THAT long because somebody would notice something was wrong.
Pretty amazing that this team went as long as they did without anyone being wise to it.
All the way back since 05 and nobody even really suspected for quite some time (except the regular old "it's rigged" paranoid coots who are actually more right than any of us want to admit in this case).

-Fred- is connected to many big name players who have inside connections there thru that though. I see no reason right now to specifically think it means anything about Freddy Deeb.

Exactly Microbob. As the employee said, "and what I could do with my limited access in the matter of a few minutes, that seemed to somehow "skipped" the attention of the current management for 5 long months (or for 2 years?)". Either UB has the worst security team in the history of man or they were completely in on it. There isn't much middle ground.

No, he won the 3rd or 4th. The first was a sham because the invited pros got to play like an 8 man tourney, then play HU for the title vs the players who bought in. There was some other crap where they wouldn't even pay for invited pro's hotel rooms or something too.

Ok i didn't remember the details thanks for clearing it up. I thought I had read Freddy won the first one being in 2005.

Didn't mean to suggest that this proves Freddy Deeb's guilt. DA was asking if there was any connection of -Fred- to Freddy Deeb other than the obvious similarity in the name. I simply pointed out that there was. Even this connection assumes the information provided by brainwash is accurate so one could argue it is not a "known connection," I suppose.

The one real "known" connection to -Fred- based on what is in this thread is Russ Hamilton since he reimburses -Fred- whenever -Fred- hands out money, including to Freddy Deeb, and Shaqtack (superuser).

NLL made an assumption -Fred- must be Freddy Deeb and people appear to have started running with it. I think that's a mistake at this point.

Unless I am mistaken, the KID55 account is implicated in the super user scandal. The KID55 account belonged to Freddy Deeb and was shut down at the same time as other superuser accounts, correct?

funny that the one site with the best reputation is the one that doesn't allow datamining

lol ive never said -Fred- must be Freddy Deeb, ive asked if anyone knew this to be true. apefish, you seem to be ignoring the fact that kid55 was closed one day before ShaqTack's was.

It doesnt seem to matter whether -Fred- is in fact freddy deeb, because KID55 is Freddy Deeb and is involved in the superuser scandal. So either way Freddy Deeb seems to be involved with ATLEAST 1 account. His account may not have been involved in the actual operation of a superuser account, but he did transfer large sums of money between his account and confirmed superuser accounts. His account and the superuser accounts were then shut down within a 24 hr period of each other.

Edit: This is all based on information already discussed earlier in this post and the Annie Duke is a liar post.

orly?

from other thread...

"-Fred-, i assume is another one of Freddy's accounts and made a transfer with ShaqTack, one of the superusers."

I'm not saying you aren't contributing to the discussion- but I do think statements like that are premature and that's all I'm saying.

People coming into the thread are reading "omg freddy deeb is involved" and it makes its appearance first in your post in that thread regardless of how you read someone else's post.

If you read my posts in that thread you also cannot say I'm ignoring how interesting the timing of the closures is since i write this...

"-Fred- seems to be a filter account for disbursements. That it would have a connection with freddy deeb's account isn't by itself that out of the ordinary.
The timing of the account closings is certainly interesting."

the reason i chose to add the words "i assume is another one of Freddy's accounts" was to clarify that we dont know that it is. N 82 hinted that it was common knowledge that it was Freddy's acct. UB mgmt had a note that Freddy used multiple accounts. you got your panties in a bunch over a miscommunication.

another important note, is right before and right after the post with the word 'assume' in it, i stated that we dont know that this is one of Freddy's accounts and asked if anyone could confirm if this was one of his accounts?

basically i did a bad job of stating that N 82 led me to believe that -Fred- was Freddy Deeb's acct, but didnt offer any proof, so we cant confirm this. this was right before i found out kid55 was Freddy's 'public' account. i treated that acct the same way, asking if anyone could confirm if this was Freddy? and people did confirm this.

such sick developments, almost moreso than the first release

scummy implications imo

what is interesting to me is that UB has had since Jan '08 to investigate the cheating issue. UB did not discover this problem themselves, but piggybacked on research and data mining by the 2+2 community.

now, well into July, an apparent insider (brainwashdodo) posts some interesting screen shots and less than 24 hours later, UB releases MORE names involved in the same scandal.

one could argue that UB had these names in their investigation queue since the initial announcement of the scandal (first press release was 05/29/08). what makes that seem unlikely is the fact that when they issued the new press release, they then amended it based on info in 2+2 (i.e. adding whakme and HolyMucker to the new list of accounts.)

it appears to be more evident that UB is asleep at the wheel, which does not help their media spin of "we are victims too!" if UB was truly a victim, surely they would have thrown all their resources into exposing the problem and rooting out the theft, esp since they might have some recourse legally if they can prove that the company was sold to them as a known, flawed, and compromised product.
