I'm not saying the guy hasn't lost lots in gambling, but he's also won lots. I remember someone saying to Daniel Negraneau that Ivey was broke and he looked at them like they were idiots and laughed them off. Also, just because he had outstanding loans to Tilt doesn't mean he was broke. Moving large sums of money onto Tilt at a moments notice isn't always easy. Hell, he might have had a line of credit to draw upon when needed to play big games. Tilt was obviously loanong out money to lots of guy when they needed it.
Your ignorance proceeds you. I didn't say he was broke, but that ONE POINT IN TIME he was under financial distress and he seems currently entrapped into staying in Asia to play the big games
When Tilt was in full swing towards the end he was netting over 900k/mo according to his divorce proceedings and the loss has obviously affected his lifestyle since. You also forget that most of those tourney winnings are only 60% since it goes towards short term capital gains with the IRS, he's entered the one drop twice for -2M, and approximately 35-40% of has come from super high rollers after Tilt went under.
And oh yeah, he pumped at least "mid 7 figs" into his failed Ivey League venture.
