I'm having a hell of a time trying to wire my money to the Rio. 4 different times I've called an hotel operator, who patched me through to the WSOP cage, and 4 different times I've waited 3+ minutes with them never picking up the phone before I give up.

I assume they're getting inundated with calls from people like me and I'd get through eventually. My bank closes before too long and I leave tomorrow evening. I believe that all I need is those two numbers to go to my bank and initiate the wire. Do any of you know those account numbers? Or is that not even possible? Help me out.

Late reg should still be open?

For reference, in past years that event usually had 650+ runners with a high of >1200. I don't think they ever were below 500?

If you’re coughing at a table during a pandemic, it’s a pretty terrible look, just put on a mask jeez

"The action is slated to get underway at 11 a.m. PST. Each player will be given the option of one re-entry during the late registration period of nine levels. During the first day, there will be a 20-minute break after every three levels and a 75-minute dinner break after level 9. A total of 17 levels are scheduled for Day 1, and a winner will be crowned on Day 2."

40 min. blinds.

Does anyone know where to find the structure sheet for the 9 a.m. daily mega satellites? The WSOP website is a labyrinth.

Also, assuming the structure is similar to past years...for those who have played in the past how long do they tend to last?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Late this morning a 2-5 no limit game was running in the Pavillion room, and they were trying to start a 1-2 game.

Single Table Satellites were also up and running by noon in the Pavillion. Same rake structure as 2019.

Hi Tyler,
I've played in the WSOP before, but I've never wired money... always brought cash. I'm planning on playing several events and cash games. I don't want to bring cash if I can avoid it, and I would prefer not registering through Bravo due to fees. Would I be able to wire, say, $25k before arriving, then once I arrive, register for a handful of events and use some of the remaining amount to get chips for cash games? The wire would have my name and player's card number in the special instructions.

The website mentions a "WSOP Tournament Account." While I do have a WSOP Player's Card, as far as I know I've never set up a tournament account (I have played in events before though, so maybe I do have one?) I've heard some people having issues with the cage not being able to find their wire, so I just want to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Thanks,
Will post when he responds. Ridiculous that the customer service for an event that caters over 100k goes through one person.

Everyone playing at the wsop is vaccinated(have to show proof of vax to even register for an event), so no one should care if anyone is coughing.

The “terrible look” is being vaxed in a room where everyone is vaxed and still being worried about people who are coughing.

If you don’t believe that the jab protects you then why did you get it? Just stay home, lock yourself inside and keep being scared of your own shadow.

The Rio does not "act as your safety deposit box"
The casino ... won't hold your money? Gross. Good thing I'm staying at the Rio and don't have to transport a bunch of cash and chips across Vegas.

I have the wire information from 2019. Presumably it's the same as it is now. I sure wish I could talk to the WSOP cage themselves about this. I would also be fine with registering for all the events via the bravo site, which would reduce the amount I'd need to wire, but the first big event, $500 5m GTD, is not allowing registration.

I didn’t see that on bravo. It currently says there are no live games. Cash games won’t be linked to bravo this year?

There isn't any info on the Bravo page. I'd expect that to update soon, based on nothing but thinking about it independently.

Covid aside, the WSOP is always a breeding ground for disease with masses of people from different locations congregating inside together and spreading germs in the air and across the surfaces of chips and cards. Combine this with the fact that many players will have been social distancing, wearing masks, etc. for the past 18 months and immunity debt could become a real issue during this WSOP, even ignoring the possibility of breakthrough covid cases.

I see cash games on Bravo now.

Also shows all the tournaments running with the clock that has all the info for each.

This still seems like a terribly low turnout.

Late Reg/Rebuy. It’s not like hundreds more just showed up hours late. Those are rebuys. Uniques entries will probably be low.

I would consider wearing a mask at the table if I had a cough as courtesy to others, especially as breakthrough cases are not exactly uncommon. It doesn’t make me scared of anything lol.
