There is some precedent for abbreviated terms for citizens of some countries:

Thais from Thailand
Malays from Malaysia
Aussies from Australia

Ok. Here is a clear story about Chau shooting an angle that cost me a 5k pot.
Brian Hastings can confirm this happened, as can Peter ( regular Vegas Mixed player).

This was this summer, just after WSOP at Aria.150-300 mixed.

It was late in the session on graveyard shift. 3 handed and the game was A-5 triple draw.

A bit pot developed where many bets went in before last draw.

We both stayed pat. I bet 300 on river for value with 7532A, and Chau looked disgusted and looked at the burn card.

This is a universal sign that you have lost in the draw games. I waited for the dealer to push me the pot as Chau mucked his hand.

As the dealer started to give me the pot Chau says " wait I called ".

I was flabbergasted. Floor was called over and we went to the tape.

After a while ( 3 handed game broke up ) I got to look at the video.

Chau did in fact call, although it was very close to his stack. As I was next to the dealer, my cards were mucked and then Chau mucked quickly.

The pot by rule was awarded to Chau with the last live hand. Athough the ruling was correct I was very hot about it.

Chau kept claiming he had 7432A and that his reputation was spotless.

I eventually accepted the ruling, and chalked it up to needing to be more careful in the future.

Now with this revalation by Todd Brunson ( who can be trusted 100%, Shun also ) I am confident I was angled out of a 5k pot by Chau.

Do you know what Chau is doing now? Business as usual?

Yeah Gunslinger was angled. Disgusted look and grabbing and looking at the burn card. That's a fold in anyone's book.

I thought he was one of the nice guys of the T.V pros so this is surprising to me. Maybe he has a gambling addiction that got the best of him.

I have always liked Chau, have played a lot of poker with him. And I understand he is going through tough times. But there is no excuse for stealing or shooting angles.

A better analogy would be calling an American a "Yank". But even still, I'm not sure it carries the same baggage.

Haha, I remember this. I was sitting in between both players. Chau was actually pretty hilarious.

Here is what happened according to Darush:

Chau comes back to his table and thinks there is a $400 stack of twenties missing. He believes Shun took it as a joke. He says so. Shun is not at the table. Now he takes $800 from Shun's stack. He does this in front of everyone. The extra $400 was a rejoke. When Shun comes back he asks where is $800 is. Chau admits he took it since he assumed Shun had kiddingly taken the 400. Now Shun reaches over and takes 1200 from Chau! Its still supposedly all in fun and in front of everybody. But now when it comes time to settle up Shun only gives Chau back 400 instead of the 800 Chau thinks he is owed. But Shun now says that he never took the first 400.

From this point forward it is becomes unclear. But the important point is that the original implication that Chau tried to get away with stealing $800 in chips from another player is apparently totally untrue.
