Anyway check out the thread on NWP about this matter. There is a testimonial from "thakilla" (a known and trusted user there) essentially telling his own version of dealing with the Iceman and the same attempted hustle.
post #37

pncruse = thakilla?

the same story.

Last year at a 20-40 limit game at the Bellagio I saw The Iceman Teddy playing and I ran up to him like a rookie meeting Doyle Brunson and pulled out my CardPlayer mag out with Linda Johnson on the cover and begged him to autograph my magazine. I told him I thought he was the one who taught Phil Ivey how to play NLH. He said he was the one who did such and then I asked him wtf he was doing at a limit game. Then I started saying wtf is wrong wit you man. You a legend playing in a kiddie game. He said he knowed but his roll was not big enough to play bigger. I told him I got a buddy who likes to flip quarters and gives good odds and I guess the rest is history.......

I'm not Ed Miller. He writes poker books for a living. I play poker for a living. See the difference?

Anyways, you could tell something was up when Teddy went on trying to convince you the deal was legit. He obviously preys off tourists who are star-struck by his presence and the losers who flip the coins hired him for this reason. What a pathetic hustle, its about time the B gets its **** together and does the right thing for once.

Yes, same person. I posted it both places because I saw this thread on here and they were having a radio show talking about it on NWP as well.

Obviously, I am just breaking your balls about being Ed Miller. You are right, it was clearly a hustle. However, the part that seemed so out of line to me was that he claimed to have already won money from this guy recently yet he was more interested in playing poker tonight instead of flipping coins for 7:5 odds.

anyone stupid enough to agree to go into someones room they have just met or never met and flip quarters for those odds deserves to be hustled. Come on its just so dumb and it is your own fault as much as teddy's.

G for gossip! Geez I loooove this kinda stuff. Like that account about Greg Mueller getting into that argument with that guy, tossing chips around and so on, it was on here a while ago, it was hilarious. I dont care about how to play JJ from early position. This is the good stuff.

Noting his spelling of Caesar in the context of that post is like writing a jaywalking ticket for a man who just opened fire on a preschool.

This guy needs to get together with Raymond Davis. Between them, they have just about the right amount of commas.

Actually, maybe Raymond Davis won all his commas in a freezeout.

In an amazing coincidence several of the phrases used here are EXACT QUOTES from a verbal argument that teddy had with brian at the bellagio tuesday night after brian started telling others about how teddy had scammed him...

It's a lock, ceasar = teddy
