No it was caused by him being a degenerate scumbag who thought the gravy train would never end

This game is 100/200 with blinds $50 and $100 and V opens utg to $200, folds to hero in sb with A62r and I 3! to $300, pro BB 4! to $400, utg calls and I cap to $500. This is a decently splashy game and utg has been playing a lot of hands. I think capping it and even 3! might be over aggressive. I was out of position and more inclined to 3! here.

I draw 2, BB draws 1, utg draws 2.

I draw 98 for a nine dugi nine low. I check, BB bets $100, utg calls, I call.

I draw 2 again. Bb pats and utg draws 2.

I draw 53 making a 65 low no real chance at a dugi.

I check, bb bets $200, utg calls, I c/r to $400, bb raises to $600, utg calls and hero jams for $675. I raised because I figured I was well ahead for half the pot with one draw left and wanted to deny equity to someone drawing to a better low. Was this wrong?

Of note, utg was Ted Forrest. I don’t play this game too often but I was waiting for a plo seat.

Thanks,
DT
Here is a recent hand posted elsewhere in the forum showing he is playing 100/200 mixed. Seems like he is playing mid-high stakes mixed and PLO. Probably not trying to compete with the kids in NLHE tournaments.

Saw him playing 2-2plo at parx w scraps in front the other day… he cracked my friend w 6532 and no suits can’t possibly imagine why he’s playing 2-2.

Maybe he was losing and didn't have much $s or wanted to get centered or get a winning mentality. He might not be doing that well at mid to high stakes.

The most obvious answer is the most likely. That goes for just about any poker player.

Does Ted Forrest have a bunch of Two Plus Two accounts where he keeps bumbing this thread.

The last time I saw him play poker was High Stakes Poker Season 2.

Yes this is true but Ted is also the type of guy that will play 6/12 if he’s on the wait list for 100/200 or whatever

Can confirm, played the 8/16 and 20/40 mix with him at MGMNH plenty of times.

He's a good dude.
A lot of it is just sour grapes from butthurt losers who will never play the games he has played in, still plays in, accomplish what he has accomplished in poker, etc.

Is it true that Matusow just flat out welched on the weight loss bet with Ted?
If so, never understood how he was able to keep any friends in poker after doing that, if true.

Have you ever played low stakes PLO at Parx? This is a quality hand there, and called balancing your range.

He is also playing mid-high stakes. Some big names from then play nosebleed mixed games or big tournaments. Others play really big NLHE/PLO and big tournaments. However, some grind like 20-40 limit holdem or don't play full time.

Yeah, that 2-2 PLO game at Parx is really crazy. I played it a few times while waiting for another game. The worst in the bomb pot for the time charge. I got allin 3-ways on the turn on the bomb pot with the nuts and great redraws and of course lost.

As indicated by the PLO hand, Forrest has a reputation for being splashy, but I guess he beats the games he plays.

That 2/2 PLO game at PARX, they just play everyone wants to see a flop, as in low stakes NLHE and limit games. The thing is when someone 3!s preflop or people hit things postflop, it leads to huge pots.

I played with Ted Forest in Macau at Starworld. It was a low stakes game of 10/25 HKD. It was the daytime , so we were trying to get the game off the ground short handed. This was circa 2011/-2012 when Ivey , Durr, Juanda came to town to play with Paul Phua . I saw Kenny Tran there too.

Ted's girlfriend at the time, not sure if it's the same girl he is with now, played absolutely like ****. And he would just rebuy for her every time she went all in and lost.

Ted was a nice guy overall, and we chatted a bit because we're both American. Was telling me stories about collusion and cheating that happened and as far as I know still happens at Commerce at the VIP Section.
