He/She was banned for a some false posts a long while ago. What I recall based on posts and PM's is there were several folks behind the account and its purpose was to troll 2p2 with a mix of real and false stories. Prop bets may have also been part of the game.

It's sad that cts was coerced into telling people to stop writing bad reviews on amazon. It seems to me to have been done as a favor to Eli in order to be paid back sooner.

I will say that even though their intentions were not good, they did provide with info, real info we could never get. I asume their ban was for account sharing and not for posting actual inside knowledge alongside false stories.

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised Eli is able to leave the casino without paying money back. He's a friendly guy, a real people person, and a liar. He can probably use a combination of friendliness, whining, and lying to convince people to wait to get paid. If he can convince them to loan him large sums of money he can certainly convince them to wait.

My opinion is of little value here as I don't post a lot in NVG and have no credit otherwise as there being any value in my thoughts, but I want to ask something.

If even part of what Eli is accused of is true why on Earth would he agree to post here AND post the things he did? I understand this was all about selling a book, but 2+2 is pretty far reaching as far as the poker world goes and I sure wouldn't post anything that could be confirmed as bull**** or anything that may lead to things in my past brought up that I sure as hell don't want brought up.


I can speak from experience on a couple things.

1. Abe lending the money. While many here think it's just insane that he would get taken for that amount of money I can see where it could happen. It happen to me on a smaller scale, but it was certainly more than I could afford to lose at the time. I trusted this friend and never thought I would be out the money. That friend and I have not spoken in over 30 years. I would tell you I don't know if I miss the money or the friendship more except that I have to question the friendship when that much gets stolen from you.

2. I have things in my past I don't want the world to know about, we all likely do so you know what? I don't talk about them or put myself in a situation the world could find out about them. I've been married over 25 years and even my wife doesn't know the full details. It's not that I don't trust her, but again, don't talk about those things and they tend no to crop up in your life.


WTF was Eli thinking and what did he think the endgame would be? Did he not know how far reaching 2+2 is? Did he think people he wronged (allegedly) just wouldn't show up here?

I really don't get it.

I find it interesting Eli is coming in here and staying active. Going over everything he seems more like a troubled mind then a genuinely evil dude. Like he has got in over his head and is at a loss for how to fix the issues that have spun out of control. This is not to say he doesnt deserve a lot of the criticism he receives, but he does have the power to make things better in the end here. Will he? That is the real question here. The poker world though could really use a feel good comeback story. Not something that can be done overnight but with a real effort he could do just that.

Eli if you are reading this, I do hope you take this plight seriously and not just mask the world. I do not know you or have met you, but seem to be a blue collar guy who could be easy to root for if you cleaned these messes up with a lot more honesty and transparency in your actions. Until you take regular steps to do just that though, you will continue to be mocked and ripped by the general public. You are in a high stakes game of chess with life. You have been put in check, not check mate.

At what point does someone like Eli become a "genuinely evil dude" ? Apparently, stealing large amounts of money from people doesn't move the needle. Nor does lying nor threatening people to cover up his stealing. I suppose murder would move the needle for you, but if he were to murder just because he got in over his head and is at a loss for how to fix the issues that have spun out of control then wouldn't that just make him a "troubled mind" rather than a "genuinely evil dude" in your eyes?
