Nobody has ragged on his English, it was only pointed out that he might not feel completely comfortable with it which may be one of the reasons he's so quiet, which seems like a legitimate point to me.

Actually, even those rooting for Lamb or Heinz haven't been saying much negative about Staszko. I can be cheering for Lamb without denigrating Heinz or Staszko.

Ben played terrible? Wut?

He got lucky a handful of times, but very few discernable mistakes. Hellmuth in the booth was lulzworthy claiming that Ben was "making mis-steps" by 3-betting aggro-Heinz' button raises.

Such a pity O'dea isnt there well deserved it but i think heinze will win...It would be good for poker a lot more german donks plus ben dosent need the money as much althoug it would be nice to see a hardened pro winning it like lamb, just not syazko he cant even speak english and looks to have a personality of a plnk of wood

I'm certainly not capable but would love to see some of the talented photo shop whizzes on here give Staszko a makeover & what ever other $h!+ you want to do with the final 3.

Go Lamb!

I think Stazko is by the far the weakest of the three but Lamb has had a pretty shaky FT so far...I think Heinz's super Aggro style is going to catch up to him really soon...should be epic

Watched the first two hours and no one got knocked out. I had to go to bed tho so I havn't heard alot about play.
My vote would have to go:
1.Lamb
2.Heinz
3.Stazko

im torn cuz i like heinz the least personality-wise, but he's probably best for the game

Ben Lamb FTW, guy is just awesome he took beat after beat and lost the min on a few hands this whole tournament. He is american we need a us player to win, they took online poker from us. He is also good unlike joe cada. I kind of dislike a non-american to win the ME. But Pius Heinz that guy is incredible and I would not mind him winning. The guy is humble and has a coach would be great for the game if he wins.

I won't be unhappy with any of the three taking it down tbh.

My concerns about Staz are that he's a bit too patient to do well in a three handed game. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong.

Pius has played quite well, ldo. His sheer aggression mixed with timely folds has put him in the best position to win. In fact I'd be very surprised if he doesn't win. Especially given the fact he has a chip lead.

Lamb's play hasn't really impressed me all that much tbh. I'm not saying he played poorly I'm saying I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. His constant staring at his opponents is kind of irritating. Here and there it's ok but he's going out of his way to make a point of trying to make his opponents feel uncomfortable which in turn just gives me the impression that he himself is the uncomfortable one. Also, he's crazy if he thinks any of his opponents fear that he can read their soul. He's proven on multiple occasions that he can't.

It should be a fun final three with me paying the closest attention to how Stazsko handles Pius' aggression.

Who is coaching Heinz?

9 people from czeckoslovakia in the main event?

What happens to poker in eastern europe if Staszko takes this down?
11-07-2011 , 05:17 PM
Definitely Heinz. If you watched the WSOP Live yesterday you know why, he was playing the best + he has a good poker face. In my book he deserves the champ title. It's also good for poker in Germany where there are a lot of potential fish with money. Almost all newspapers have already picked up the story today.

Ben Lamb is my second pick, but only because he's American and it would give a positive boost to poker which is good for our American poker player friends.

Stazsko cause Benba's weird eyes freak me out, and Heinz is German

Terrible is a bit harsh, but he was constantly being outplayed by Heinz even thou he had position on him.

Folding second pair to one bet after ck/ck on flop. Giannetti pwned him as well with the Q8 hand.

ok lol. but so what if you're english, I'm dutch. we had a lot more damage done to our country during the WWII and the history of football rivalry between Germany and Holland is unmatched. it's a little old-fashioned to still have grudges about stuff like that, that's for old people (or nationalistic mouth-breathers). new times have arrived, we're all people, but I see you realize that

Germans are nasty slowrollers tho (I'm dutch too btw)

@qusar30 idk who is coaching heinz, it really does not matter who is coaching him. The fact that he is humble enough to have one shows how good of a player he really is.
11-07-2011 , 06:10 PM
Us dutch really love the germans nowadays (we seriously do, no clue how it happened. Good thing though, it was about time we stopped hating them for crap no living german has anything to do with...)

Anyway, it looks like Heinz played really well, but I have trouble rooting for anyone nicknamed MastaP.

Obv Benba lucked out the other day, and Heinz was the superior player, but if he can start landing some decent cards and not get too crazy he'll take it down on Tuesday. Heinz really is a beast in this tourney, super super calm, amazing play. Staszko is Staszko, little bit awkward, but you can tell he's a good guy.
