Should Tom Dwan stop accepting durrrr Challanges? Should Tom Dwan stop accepting durrrr Challanges?

When durrrr issued the challange it was a few years ago now. A time before he was a Full Tilt Pro and had the commitments that he has to do and all the live tournies and travelling. (not to mention Macau cash games) As such it seems he dosn't log nearly as many hours online as he used to.
The Antonius challange has been dragging on with no end in near sight. (obv both have FTP stuff that keep them busy and PA lives in Monaco)
The jungleman12 challange is now seeming to drag on in a similar fashion. (depsite the promosing start)
Pokerstars and the Isildur1 challanges generate way more buzz and the fewer hands, but more challanges and appeal of Viktor Blom overall seems a better fix.
If durrrr continues to accept more challangers at the same, the likelihood of any of them finishing seems to diminish.
Maybe it's time durrrr stopped accepting challangers. Or at least starts playing more (espeically with jungleman12).
So should durrrr stop accepting challangers for the durrrr Challange?

he should start finishing challenges
03-05-2011 , 04:07 AM
he must do something about his challenges, that's for sure.
03-05-2011 , 04:08 AM
durrrr is challenged when it comes to challenges.
03-05-2011 , 04:14 AM
he should stop playing.
03-05-2011 , 04:20 AM
yup
03-05-2011 , 04:39 AM
Why would he challenge himself?

someone should come up w/something more substantial than Blom's challenge, but less epic than Durrr's. that way it could still be semi-epic, but also completable. something in the middle. say 25k hands or so.

johnny chan maybe? chan challenge?

also there should be no "running it twice" in these things, thats just stupid.

yeah i agree about running it twice. drags it on even more.

perhaps 5k-10k hands in the Isildur1 matches i reckon.

I really don't understand why 50k hand challenges are such a challenge.
Some players grind that in a week without it being too much of a challenge.
What's the point of a challenge where there are so few hands played that it's really challenging to work out who is the better player.
5k hand challenge may as well be a coin flip challenge when two elite players are involved in the challenge.

because the losing player always doesn't want to play

mod, add poll thx

if I was Jungleman I'd be getting pissed by now, afterall he has a bonus of a mill on the line if he wins right? I can't remember the details as it was about ten years ago durrrr came up with this ridic challenge
03-05-2011 , 07:58 AM
he should just play them...

I wouldn't be surprised if they have already settled the bet somehow (because Jungleman hasn't complained about durrrr stalling it)

Seems very plausable now.

durrrr really helps to discredit FTP's already **** reputation with this challenge bs IMO.

Stars would be lolling massively at how FTP basically donks off heaps of their customers by being really unprofessional.

Ivey should take the challenge and send durrrr life-busto in like 10k hands....

That's probably true but they should tell everyone/ftp etc. so they can announce it. It'd so unprofessional if that was the case and the tracking sites etc. were just left in limbo waiting for sessions that aren't ging to happen. It looks really shoddy having open challenges on FTP's main site which may have been finalised behind closed doors.

durrr issued the challenge because no one would play him. its not for the railbirds which isildurs is. saying that he should stop because isildurs are more entertaining is pretty stupid
03-05-2011 , 12:17 PM
The Challenge would had been more intriguing if there was a no buy-out clause. It's ridiculous to think that these matches would ever finish...

I can see why PA bought out, but durrrr's match with jungleman is still early. I imagine in the next 2-4 months FTP will announce that durrrr's won the 1st challenge.

He should finish starting challenges.

He should take on even longer challenges with more players and not finish those either.
